  • While Dieting?

Anybody doing DC's workouts while dieting hard? I am 4 weeks out and feeling really stagnant in the gym. I want to do something different to keep me in to it. I know i am not going to hit any PR's but latley it is a battle just to keep my head in the game.

I have been using DC's methods throughout my entire contest prep (14 weeks down, 3 to go). Right now I'm on 150 carbs per week with 4 no carb days, so if that isn't hard dieting, I don't know what is.

I am still able to front squat the same weight for same reps, as I did when I was 255, and I'm under 215 now. Only thing that dropped was chest exercises I am down about 10-20 lbs for the same reps

I think the real benefit is the low volume. I actually modified DC's routine so I go M/W/F but I split up chest and back, so I'm doing each bodypart once per week. I just didn't have the gas to do the number of exercises in the two day split. I have been doing this for 7 weeks or so. You have very little if any glycogen stored, so you need to hit it hard and real quick.

I agree-I have been doing lower volume myself with heavier weight. But not DC's program
