  • Rala OR ala?

How important is it to the equation?
The only reason I ask is because I just stocked up on protien, glutamin, and creatine, and I don't know if I can hack the 190bucks for 1kg of ala....

Anyone know of a place I can get it cheaper?

Damn Tybolltt, nice name. it isn't tybault like Shakespeare's, but it is your own twist. nice name.

okay, the ALA can be had at www.kilosports.com. i don't know if we are allowed to post other sites on this board. i'll guess we find out. the ala can be had @ 49.99 for a kilo. damn i wish synthetek made ALA, like syntheRALA or something.

if you get the ala, try to get R-ala, not the racemix version. the racemix is R + a + s form. the s form actually hampers the effects of the R form. teh R form is what is powerful here. R-ala is about 3x as powerful as ALA, thus the price difference.

    take care.

i think you are a little mistaken it is not 49.95 for a kilo, it is 49.95 for 1000 100mg caps, which is actually a 10th of a kilo. at that price a kilo would cost you 499.50.

we are going to carry a whole line of raw materials with in the next few weeks, including ala, r+ala, we are still trying to hammer down the highest quality stuff. we will also post an article as well, why r-ala may not be all that is cracked up to be (price and validity of use), i actually prefer ala over the pure racemic version.
      keep an eye out.

Hey, you see there, learn something new every damned time! Thanks Tpc.

i got my ALA confused with my glutamine peptides from kilosports.

you must me a musician though because hearing about you having raw materials is music to my ears. your quality and service is excellent, and mixing all that with a large selection of products is just too much! Rock the fuck on Trueprotein, hell yeah.

Thanks Shivan, where did you get your LogIn?

TPC...how does your isolate compare to AllTheWhey.com? I'm not looking for a slamfest because that would be totally unprofessional, but they do appear to be similiar if not identical products.

well, their WPI is microfiltration. we carry microfiltration and ion-exchange personally i like the ion-exchange, there is absolutly no taste.

i am not questioning their quality, we may use the same supplier/manufacturer, but ours is cheaper in the long run, with both products.

now i really like that answer there. tpc, i am sure that you have and are going to again get tons of questions that will try to measure you up to proteinfactory, allthewhey, wheyconsortiium, etc. etc.

your answer you just gave just made me a beleiver in your professionalism and your confidence in your product. with your already excellent list of products and your new products (and flavors, bbq, yummmm....), you are really going to be seeing a lot of my business as well as others.

i say this because i get upset hearing suppliers just not beign confident in their own product and just bashing other's constantly. your answer is just....refreshing.

Why do you need the r-ALA? r-ALA does sensitize muscle cells slin receptors but it also sensitizes fat cells slin receptors.

I think its been established for quite a while now that both ALA and R-ALA are junk as far as nutrient partitioning goes. Mild antioxidant AT BEST. Save your money for protein.

Glad to hear you guys are going to be adding on a few more products. Do you plan on having zma available in the future? If so, that would be sweet because I could order everything I take right here at trueprotein.com

bump on K-R-ALA, regular R-ALA is too sensitive to heat. it's destroyed easly. i'd go with etheir K-R-ALA, or regular ALA. just MO

they beat me to it when they said k-r-ala, i would buy glucophase if u were to buy k-r-ala as it has some bonus goodies in there.....but its expensive, so bulk would prolly be a solid choice too.
