  • Did Georgia's Strongest Man on Saturday. Competed in the 200 lb. class, not sure where I placed. I think I was 5th out of 6. I hit a big deadlift PR - 580 from 16-17". My best deadlift two weeks prior was 506 from 18". Other than that everything else was just ok. I bombed the circus dumbbell though, didn't get any reps. Couldn't lock it out. Got 3 reps 2 weeks before in training. I'm doing the Central Florida comp though, so I'll be getting ready for that. Even though I didn't do that well it was still fun.

        The rack deads were only like a 3" range of motion. I'm planning on lowering the bar each week and keeping the weight the same though. Box squats and deficit deads were easy, but I plan on adding 25 lbs. a week for the next 6-7 weeks and then shooting for a new max off the floor.
