  • My Tire Bumper Plates

I took Tim's advice from his "Equipment Bible" and made some badass bumper plates. I got them free off craigslist from someone who has an old box van. They're mounted on 20" rims and weigh 80lbs each. I marked a 5lb plate and drilled through them to bolt to the wheels. That was somewhat of a pain. So in all they weigh 85lbs each and let me pull from just below the knee like a rack pull. They're a little unstable on the bar from being so big so I put 45's on the inside and that keeps them locked in better.

I also got a free 600+lb tire off craigslist that I am picking up along with a sledge tomorrow and am going to a sawmill to try to get a log. I'll put pics of those up when I get them.

I have 2 tires but no rims for them yet. I might have to shop around on craigs list or check out a local junkyard

hey my thread helped somebody out, thats pretty cool.

nice stuff man. I used mine today, pressed 260 and dropped them from almost head height, and just bounced and rolled around, good stuff.

Let me know how the sawmill goes, I'll put the info the the equipment thread.
