  • egg whites...too much sodium??

    ok, im 9 wks way from my show and im getting tired of eating chicken all day in every meal...I was wondering about having 12-15 egg whites for my fist meal of the day..my question here is about the sodium in the egg whites...since i'll be eating that amount, will the natural sodium in the whites be too much?? Should i worry about it? or should i just stick to the morning chicken breast to be on the safe side?? I know some of u are dieting here too for the summer shows so i wanna know what u guys/gals are doing...

    If you're 9 weeks away sodium shouldn't be an issue. I do not concern myself with restricting sodium until until the final week. It will effect your water retention but you can flush it and control it without too much difficulty usually within a few days.

      Ditto what kid said.

      It doesn't matter that far out. In fact, the more water you are ingesting, the more sodium you want, to a certain degree, anyway.

      That is why I add franks redhot and soy sauce to some of my food. I need the added sodium after drinking the massive amount of water that I do every day.

        why is that?? the more water u drink, the more sodium u need? Man, i learn something new everyday here on this board...So i guess eating my chicken breast with some mustard wouldnt hurt then, uh?..

          Now, I said to a certain degree, bro. lol

          If you are pushing a very high volume of water, you are going to lose more sodium than if your water intake were lower. That's all I am saying.
