  • Water retention problems

here's a pic of my calf after wearing socks all day. Now thats some serioous indentation! Im 4 weeks out now and all is going well except this water deal. I cut the GH out at the begining of the week per a couple of my Bro's advice.

with this much water retention Im fearing the onset of the next full moon.......

    can I get a AMEN?

OK, Ringmaster. Some Q's for ya:

    How much sodium / day?...

    How much water / day?...

Does it vary with carb intake?...

    P.S. AMEN!

      LOL....Ringmaster? DAMN thats harsh.

seasoning on my Chicken or Fish is the only additional sodium ...less than 1g/day

      approx. 1.5 gallons of water/day

I'm more "bloated" with higher carbs.

        Lord of the Rings,

I would add an extra 0.5 - 1.0 gal. of water / day.

          consider it done.

How long before the GH lets this retention go? 4 weeks enough?

Also when should I start with the Aroma, femara and arimidex.Im using 1.25mg Femara EOD right now.

Im loaded for bear as far as gear is concerned, I think Ive got all my bases covered in that dept. I have some idea of when to start them, but Im very open to your input.

            Sweaty,

It seems the GH water retention is very individual.

How far out are ya now?... I don't think you need more than one aromatase inhibitor, but its good to know you've got back up. ;^)

It might not be a bad idea to up the Femara and see if your water retention is estrogen related, however, I'd see how upping the water works first (for future reference).

4 weeks out today. I'll bump the H2O to over 2 gallons starting tommorrow.
Im not sure if the retention is from E.
Im using Prop Tren Masteron and WVwith the 1.25mg of Femara.I cut out the Teste E 4 weeks ago and the EQ 2 weeks ago. I can up the anti E also. Im normally VERY soduim sensitive, I eat sushi and gain 5-7 lbs overnight. I need to nip this in the Bud ASAP thiough.

One other note: During the week as I become more and more depleted I get more vascular and harder......

                I concur with Randy -

                1. Up the femara to see if it is estrogen related at all.

                2. PUSH the water, bro. Don't just throw in an extra 1.5 gallon tomorrow but add it in over a few days. I don't have my guys look at water intake on a "gallon" schedule anymore because it becomes too sporadic throughout the day. Some will get a gallon before noon and then not much in the afternoon and then feel they have to force another gallon 2 hours before bed. Your best bet is to shoot for a liter per 1-1.5 hours all day long until about 2 hours before bed and then taper it slightly so that you can actually sleep without having to get up every 20 minutes to pee.

I have been experimenting (cuz I am weird like that) and I have had my water at 1 liter per hour all day long since about 8 or 9 weeks out and this allows me to take in MORE sodium as so much of it is flushed away, anyway, and it keeps me BONE dry other than about 4 hours after I train and push the most carbs for the day. By the time I go to bed, I am an anatomy chart. It is surprising even to me how much the high volume of water keeps me so dry. By the morning, I look even crazier.

                Just my opinion.

                            Sweat,

If you're drinking 12+ L of water / day, you'll be dry. (Take a look at Redrocks' threads after her show - this is how I set up her water and how I do mine, as well.)

Since you only have 4 weeks, I'd bump the femara, too.

If you're working with Skip, he can guide you on this. If you already have a last week schedule, its time to start practicing it (whatever it may be) starting with your water bumped up.

If you're not sure what to do, I would begin experimenting with that sushi meal as the start of a pre-contest shitload style carb-up, as it sounds like you can fill up pretty fast. Something as simple as (I'm really not sure what you're doing w/ your carb-ups, so this could be a stretch):

-Drink water Friday 1L / hr until 4PM. No carbs during day.
-Sushi at 7PM, no water during meal or after. Perhaps some sushi to take home for a later night (~10PM) snack).
-Wake up in AM lookin' like a monstrosity.
