the time you can make weight sucks for the USAs this year. they are thursday night or last min friday mornning. My partner needed to loose 8lbs to make weight for the nationals last year and just about killed himself trying, How? I dont really want to post that LOL . But leading to this show I was thinking as long as he is 200lbs one week out and carb depleats sun, mon, tues leave on wed (no workouts wed or thursday) he "should" be at his target weight by tursday mornning 198lbs ""THOUGHTS?"" I mean 2lbs to loose over 5 days shouldnt be a problem. keep pushing water to late thursday night dont weigh in untill last min friday mornning (providing his weight is dead on some thursday morrning) he dosent need much to fill out so I would think waiting to later friday (he will be on stage about 8pm for prejudging) and just eat the right things for carb up and holding the condition though SAT should be a problem. It was last year but he was 8lbs heavy 3 days out. so it all rides on him being 200lbs 1 week out.

Should be a problem he only have 47lbs to loose LOL . man 5'4" 245lbs last night and every vein on his body is showing. prep starts next week.

      PUMPED,

Are you askin' a question, my man?... Sounds like, if he made it last year when 8lb over, he'll be fine if only 2lb over this time.

Have you considered bringing him in as a heavy?... If he's single digit BF% at 245, he'll be SHREDDED at 215-220 and will not have to worry r.e. making weight...

Well he only made it last year from taking everything under the sun to get the water out. and he had problems staying hard come sat night but by pushing everything back closer to stage time the staying hard part should be ok. last year he weighed in on thursday night so waiting to friday and not carbing to after that should help him hold longer. "I would think" he started carbing thrusday last year.

I have tryed to tell him this but seeing as he is so short he just dosent want to stand next to some guy the same weght or heaver and 5 inches taller. Pluse he is making a name for himself in the LHW class right now.

I get some updated pics this week so you can take a look. watch him to 6 plates on free squats for 7 reps (full squat) then do 10 plates each side on hacks. man is a freak benched yesterday at 495 for 5.

Yes, but he's gonna make those guys look THIN. Its a shame that he has to say (and there's something to this, obviously) that the reason for staying a LHW is to make a name for himself.

I personally would like to see him come in looking his best. If he really is as lean as what I imagined, he could be 5'4" 210-215lb shredded bodybuilder. THAT is thick, Bro. Lee Priest type of thick (or even more, as Lee seems to have to compete at or below 200lb now to get the conditioning he needs.)

            Can't wait for the pics.
