    Just wanted to post up some video's from my meet over the weekend. I competed at the Longhorn Open in Austin, TX (USAPL meet). I was in the 198, Raw, Open division. Would have liked to do better on a few lifts, but I still hit a new Squat PR, DL PR, and a Bench (for a meet) PR. Took first place in my class (out of 3), and had the best Bench and DL in my class.

    This was only my second meet and improved overall from last meet.

    1140 total up to 1177 total
    380lb squat up to 391lb
    258lb bench up to 281lb
    501 DL up to 508

    This was a better run meet and I actually knew who was in my division, so I was able to play the numbers game and base my attempts off my competitors and take advantage of what they were missing (to heavy on attempts).

    Any tips on form or anything else is always appreciated. I know I need to work on my speed on the squat for sure...

              I thought it felt pretty easy too... and after only working up to 460 in training I was surprised, but when trying to jump up only 10 more lbs as you can see I couldn't budge it.

              If I can get the dead moving on Sumo's it's going... but I have very little power out of the bottom position.

                Excellent work man, congrats on the PR's!!!

                There are certainly a few things we can do to improve your deadlift and get you well over 518. You do not load the bar and take the slack out of it by pulling yourself into position. We can also work on foot position, looks like they can turn out a little more which will allow you to force your knees out harder. All of this will make the weight come off the floor faster. If your knees still can not force way out with that stance, maybe try bringing it in 1-2 inches

                  Thanks for the tip Greystreet. I sent you a PM about working together. My long term goal is to pull triple bodyweight, and then bump up to the 220lb weight class, while staying under 15% body fat.
