  • Supplements for strength

Can anyone recommend a good supplement for increasing strength levels. Not something that will give a better pump, or increase energy as such, but something that will actually increase strength levels. Not talking about anabolics either.

Was thinking of something like creatine and beta alanine. Can anyone recommend a good supplement that has both ingriedients in it. Also, what do you think of DAA for increasing strength levels??
    Thanks.

Consistency and hard work. 2 of the best supplements around. Nothings just going to build strength, even with anabolics, you gotta put in the work.
…Time is so precious….and you need to ask yourself, what are you going to do today but more importantly, you need to ask yourself – how are you going to do it?

            LMAO! Witty, I llike it.

As for the DAA, I used MG's Super Test Boost at TP and LOVED IT! I got stronger and leaned out while using it during my last blast and I am going to add it back in soon.

Riverhawk, haha, that's awesome bro, I like it. Thank you for that. As for mark, yeah point out the obvious why don't you.

As it happens, I've been training for 24 years and know all about hard work and consistency etc, but just looking for something to take me to the next level.

To everyone who gave positive answers, thank you. Much appreciated.

                  1. Ephedrine / Caffeine
                  2. Creatine / Beta-Alanine
                  3. BCAA's pre, during and post workout

Besides that adding sea salt to my peri-workout drinks and staying super hydrated seems to help along with obviously increasing calories.

The supplements Sammich outlined work great (as previously mentioned). DAA worked extremely well for me also. Cissus in high doses also greatly helped me strength wise.

I have tried most of the pre w/o supps from TP and the one that I have seen the best results from as it pertains to strength is Geraniamo.

To be honest I am not entirely sure why it Cissus helps for strength. Fom my experience it seems to help increase my tendon and ligament strength. I am in the same boat as you in that I have been training pretty hard for 20 plus years and with that comes a lot of minor (and some major) injuries. Cissus helps me heal much quicker. There are some who believe it has some androgenic properties but from the studies I have seen I could not conclude that. Most of the good studies on it show that it seems to help speed up the healing process significantly and I would definitely agree with this. I would have to conclude that this increased healing translates into strength increases. I go off Cissus every month or so for a couple of weeks. During the "off" times I definately notice (and miss) it.
