  • Elite Raw in Powerlifting then Onward to BB'ing

Hello everyone, I have been lurking for years, but I finally decided to start posting because I can use help and expertise in the near future. I am a competitive raw powerlifter, with a 1576 total @220 as a junior. Come May, I am hoping to total 1700 @198 if possible, although I may not be able to make the cut considering I walk around at 230-240. I am interested in competing in bodybuilding within the next year or two, but I know that I currently am nowhere near where I would need to be to be competitive. I hope with your guy's advice and help, I can make it where I want to go.

The video of my last meet can be found on youtube by searching for Hans Hinnershitz 2014 USPA Veterans Classic. Thank you.

                2/14/2015

                3's Week

1 Brd Incline Bench Press (Pinky on Ring)
                200x5
                230x3
                255x10 (3+)
                280x3 (Joker)
                305x3 (Joker)
                5x265x5 (Volume)

                Swiss Bar Skullcrushers
                125x7
                125x6
                115x8

                Beltless Pendlay Rows
                2x220x8
                1x230x8

                Flat DB Bench Press
                100'sx10
                2x125'sx6

                Fat Bar Curls
                95x10
                100x10
                100x8

Notes: Was hoping for 315 for a triple on my 1 brd incline benches, but it wasn't there today. 305x3 was a PR though, so I will take it. I am probably going to try changing my grip on swiss bar skullcrushers, because I have stalled and have now regressed on them two weeks in a row after introducing them about a month and a half ago. My triceps are a weak point of mine, and I should probably bring them up anyway, as I have torn both pecs (luckily not ruptured) within the past year.

I've had my goal set this entire training cycle on squatting 500 without a belt or wraps. I think I am good for 480-490 right now, but 500 is a bit of a stretch. I end my 7 week blast next week; I am thinking of bumping it up a little bit this final week for a gym PR.

Notes: Swiss bar work is rough. Also, was supposed to do barbell preacher curls, but tendinitis was too bad.
