  • Starting DC: 300lbs BW goal

    Hi all, I'm 20 yrs old from Ireland and been in the gym since 11, and have been training conventionally since about 14. I currently weigh 278lbs 6ft2 in the morning and feel I'm ready to start DC with the goal is hitting 300lbs body weight relatively lean, hopefully under 25% body fat I am 18% at the moment

    Thought I'd just do the typical 3 day a week dc split and see how I get on.

    Here is my last DC session the weights are in kilos per side and don't include the weight of the bar

    Smith Incline press
    60 8 3 1 static
    Smith shoulders press
    50 7 3 1
    Smith CGBP deadstop
    60 6 3 3
    Rack chins
    35 7 4 4 Static
    Deadlift
    100 2 90 4

          Today performed all movements deadstop since they are machines and can recruit more muscle fibres:

          A1

          HS Chest press 90 8 3 1 static
          HS Shoulder press 70 6 3 1 partials
          Weight dip machine 80 8 5 3
          Lat Pulldown 240lbs 9 8 7
          Smith BO row 70 6 60 12

              Hey Josh,

              Not sure if you realize, but if you were to simply add nothing but body fat to get to 300lb, you'd still be under 25% BF (if the 18%BF figure is correct)?...

              You have ~228lb FFM if BW = 278 and you're 18%BF.

              228lb FFM / 300 lb BW => 76% FFM, which means 24% BF...
