  • Burning Both Ends...

    So... New uni course direction to begin in a few weeks. I tried doing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business double degree last year after 3 years of studying Science and working in a property investment business... On the business side of things, I found myself continually disagreeing with what they were teaching us regarding how to run a business. It was all bullshit and a waste of time and money, so I transferred the business degree to another science degree where I'm going to Major in Pharmacology and minor in Astro-physics. On the arts side I'm going to Major in Philosophy...

    Needless to say I'm going to be even more insane than I already am a few years from now!

    I'm booked in to compete in the Nabba Vics on the 7th of September and the IFBB Vics on the 12th of October.

    So I'm going to be diced for two months straight whilst I'm studying for exams and working full time and probably doing a fair bit of partying. And somehow amongst all this entertain my exceptional wife...

    Come at me insanity!

    This is what I have to beat by the time September rolls around.
    It was just under a year ago and I sure as hell hope I'm better!

    Skip's my Chef for this season. So I know I'm in good hands.

    What were they teaching that you disagreed with?

    That is a LOT to have one's plate - dual major + full-time job + contest prep. Man, no way I could do that. Good for you and good luck.

      The business side of things was very blinkered. I showed a mate of mine who is VERY successful and earn't his millions building businesses. And he said if I came into his workplace and utilised what they were teaching me I would stuff the business up. That was enough for me to say "fuck that!" Plus, it was boring, dry and really not for me.

      Let's see how I go having all this on my plate! I will be a huge challenge.

            Okayyyy, so, chest and back on Monday. Smashed that shit. My titties hurt.
            You know when you really annihilate chest and the tendons under your arms hurt and you can't masturbate efficiently? That's where I am and it's Thursday now...

            Legs last night - went like so:

            Barbell Hyperextensions
            Vertical leg press
            Ham curl
            Adductor RP set (I can forget about having intercourse for the next week)
            Low Close Leg Press
            Leg Extensions
            Standing calf
            Tibia machine
            Seated calf
            Machine calf
            All one-legged as it seems to be working training them single legged so I'm sticking with it!
            Front squats.

            Heaviest squat was 350 x 7 front squats.
            Heaviest vertical leg press was 500 x 20. Filmed that shit so I will post as soon as I upload it.

            I am pretty sure I can squat better after inhaling small volumes of puke. Must be something to do with damaged capillaries having more blood closer to the surface and being able to absorb more oxygen than usual.

            That's my theory.

              I found my uni course pretty bs.... The theory gets prioritized and not so much the practical. In the real world is where I'm learning the most but you need that piece of paper first!

                  DB shrugs 4 x 18

                  Cable Flyes 3 x 18

                  Machine Row 3 x 18

                  Lower back was sore so I stayed away from stressing it with bent rows and deads.

                  Been sick all weekend. But pretty well right now and on my way to gym.

                  Orientation week at College so lots of stray bitchez and drinking...

                  But I don't drink and am a good boy... So relatively uneventful so far!

                      Trained legs last night.

                      Started with calves as usual:
                      Seated straight leg.
                      Seated.
                      Tibia.
                      Standing.
                      All for 3 sets, ~20-30 reps, single legged.

                      Then Hams and Quads:
                      Seated Curls.
                      Smith SLDLs.
                      Squats.
                      Leg Extension.
                      Low Close Leg Press.

                      Whilst squatting I had a young blonde sheila with massive bolt-on cannons come up and start doing stiffies next to me. I call them stiffies rather than SLDLs in this context as we all know what happens when a stacked chick with a low-cut top does SLDLs...

                      Needless to say, and for lack of a better word, I went hard on squats. So hard I needed ten minutes to recover after my last set where I just lay in a puddle of sweat.

                      Thankfully, she decided to move her drink bottle close to my heap of sweat and every time she needed a drink she bent over with her arse literally in my face.

                      These are not the actions of a can-do coconut.

                      Before I had a testicle removed by my wife who was leg-pressing 5m away, and boobarella lost a tit, I crawled the hell away from that exceptionally splendid nightmare.

                            Machine Press
                            Cable Flyes
                            Incline Barbell

                            Deadlifts
                            Pullovers
                            Wide Neutral Lat Pull
                            Machine Row
                            DB Shrugs

                            Went a little heavier than usual on the last set of deads and pulled 530 for 3 which I'm pretty happy with.



                            Uni is well underway now, work is coming out of my eyeballs already!

                            I also swallowed some tippex last night...
                            I woke up with a massive correction.
