    Been awhile since I posted a log. Figured I would because in the past I would benefit from it. Not going to say this one's different, just me hitting the gym and lifting.

    What's been going on in the last while? Who cares, I'm here to lift! Doing DC, because I like it. Doing SS for the first blast, till I get some mobility and flexibility back. And because I don't want to get injured again. Enough of that over the last 2 years lol.

    Did good stretching before I started. I have been tearing muscles (calf 2x, groin once, all in baseball) so I am not taking any chances.

    Overall a good first workout. Back to the pussy weights, but that's what 6 months of ball and beer will do to ya.

    Oh, Trucelt, took your advice long ago, and did a great job losing weight, but of course I didn't stick with it. I prioritized ball and partying. Now, as usual, I am paying for it. But if you look at my sig, I'm still broke, house still sucks, NEW CAR fat again. But, over the past month I have re-evaluated a lot of stuff, and (well, health concerns really make a difference) I have re-committed myself to lifting. I have the best person motivating me...Hannah my daughter. We have been working out together at home for the past month, and is super proud of me for heading back to the gym. She actually gave me shit for almost having a glass of pop on Saturday. I gladly gave it up, and she hugged me and told me she was happy I wasn't going to be fat anymore !

          Thanks guys. My return to the gym is fortuitous! Our water heater somehow bit the big one sometime today while we were at work. At least I get a hot shower tomorrow Sad for my wife!

            50 min cardio on the elliptical this morning.

            4 sets abs - leg raises 4x10. Each rep was slow, and I held it at the top for a sec and slowly lowered. Abs are sore already.

            Nice warm shower after. txted my wife, and received a "screw you!" in return

              Wide grip Cable curls -
              21x100 r/p

              1 arm rev cable curl -
              20x25 both arms

              hack squat calves -
              2 x 180 x 10

              Sumo leg press (bigger lp machine) -
              15x270 (3 good warmup sets)

              Hack squat -
              3 pps x 8, 4 pps x 8, 3 pps x 10

              Decided to rp biceps, just felt good. 100 lbs sure felt heavy lol
              Calves I just did straight up sets/reps. Tore my right this year during ball (again) so I want to take it easy and work up the weight and stress slowly. I also had gout in my left foot that I am recovering from, and it was painful as its sort of just lingering. Either way, calves were smoked when I was done.

              Sumos, I felt good doing. I tore my groin badly last year, and I still get...not pain, but tightness. I am really working on the stretching and did the sumos really slow and controlled. Same thing, going to slowly build up to heavier weights.

              Hacks were smoking my quads really well after I was done. I didn't do a widow as I may have pushed it a bit too hard for my first day back. Will rectify that next monday when I do squats.

                Very light cardio this morning, only 30 min. I have a to get some tests done this morning at 11, so took it easy on the treadmill. No eating till after the tests. I am fricken hungry already!

                Top of my right foot has been numb for the past few months. Dunno why, see a specialist Dec 28.

                  Glad to see ya back at it. The numbers will climb. Just remain consistent, so at least that is there when the motivation dies down. What is the diet plan now? Have you read any of Lyle Macdonalds books? The one on Guide to Flexible Dieting is pretty good.

                    Haven't sat down and read through any books as of yet, just been cutting my foods down, eating cleaner, and having a bit of a cheat day once a week. YEsterday ended up being my cheat day, as we had a work party, so all week I at clean, cut carbs, and scarfed up a ton of food at lunch.

                    Had a great sleep last night and feeling great today. Back at it tomorrow.

                    I do have to sit and read stuff again. Been a while. I will check out that one you mentioned.

                      Back in the gym Wed morning. Went into the hospital Thursday afternoon last week, with a possible rectal abscess (or something). Nothing was found, only that I was in a lot of pain when I go, and more when they checked. Surgeon was going to check me out in the OR, but it never got that far. Long story short, I am scared to eat and have real craps. I have barely eaten since Wed last week.

                      I am slowly re-introducing food into my diet. I am trying to eat soft food, nothing that is going to stress my butt. Mostly crapping diarrhea, but there is still pain. Why have I not been eating? I am hoping that whatever it was will heal itself. They couldn't find an abscess, so may have just been a tear.

                      They gave me 2 kinds of antibiotics, which I don't think are doing much quickly. Feeling better today, so i will attempt cardio tomorrow, light walking. Staying away from weights until i talk to the DR tomorrow or Thursday. I don't want to chance stressing whatever is in there and making it worse.

                      I miss eating...but I have to admit I am also scared to eat, cause it hurt like hell when I was going last week.

                      Edit, was going to start the Heckman flush, but decided to wait until I talk to the surgeon to see if it would be a good idea. I am hesitant to put any more pressure on my problem...

                              Yup, I attribute the being down with the not eating. I was very difficult to be around. I have started eating more, and yesterday I ate the most I have eaten in 6 days. I probably ate more yesterday than I did those 6 days combined. Probably a mistake, as I am worried about going to the can later...little nervous lol

                              Anyhow, 45 min cardio walking this morning, and tested some weights, just light ones to get moving. Nothing that was too stressful.
