  • Making Tow-Trucks Jealous.

Okay, so. Now that I'm about to compete, I am really looking forward to going back to eating and training like an Ox. And what better way to do it than have all you lovely IM members along side.
I am 1 day out from show now and won't start logging until I rest up for a week and recover.

My split will be like so:
Monday - Calves, Chest, Shoulders, Abs.
    Tuesday - Arms, Calves.
    Wednesday - Quads, Hams, Glutes.
    Thursday - Cardio.
Friday - Calves, Back, Traps and Abs.
    Saturday - Cardio.
    Sunday - Off.

I am mainly concerned with bringing up my arms and calves and progressing well on Bench, Squats and Deadlifts.

Current body weight is 220lb stage ready with water.
    I'm 6'5" and 21 years old.
I hope to get up to about 264lb this winter (summer if you are in the US) and hold it.
I do moderate volume on push and pull but I do very high volume on legs. It works for me.

    Looking forward to any input.

This was me before my last refeed:

Yessssss, Redskull and I are starting "Team Tall Fuckers". You are invited. 6'5" here as well.

Interested to see how you train legs! That has been a huge weak point for me because I have done primarily back squatting over the years and have no legs to show for it.

            First, I like the title.

Second, damn boy... Your tall. I gotta say you look a lot larger than I would have expected at that ht and wt. At 21 you ate off to a phenomenal start. Don't get frustrated by seeing the lill guys going from skinny to full in a cpl years when you feel like your still trying to fill out...once you do fill out... You can be scary.

            Peace and best of luck.

                    Thanks everybody.
A standard leg day would look like this for me:
                    Not including warmups.

                    Seated Ham Curl 4 x 8-12
                    Lying Ham Curl 4 x 8-12
                    Standing Ham Curl 4 x 8-12
Lying Ham Curl Supersetted with G.H.R. 15/15 reps, 4 sets.
Leg Extension (Top Half Only) 4 x 8-12
                    Single Leg Leg Extension 4 x 12
                    Leg Extension (Full ROM) 4 x 8-12
                    Back Squats 5 x 8-12
                    Front Squats 5 x 5-8
                    Hack Squat (Facing Sled) 4 x 8-12
                    Vertical Leg Press 4 x 6-8
                    Single Leg Leg Press 4 x 10-14
                    Lundges 3 x 8

                    Extreme Stretches.
                    Usually takes 2.5-3 hours.
I often move back squats to the end of the workout if my back is not up for it.

P.S. Just spent the morning with Branch Warren and he is coming hunting with me next year.

Holy Krikey! If I counted right that's 53 sets? Don't you think you could grow on MUCH LESS volume? That's an insane amount of work for any body part.....

I know. It's retarded. I have tried everything for legs and this seems to be working. A lot of the curl and extension movements aren't to mind blowing failure, but all of the big movements are. I usually can't sleep because my legs are so sore on wednesday nights.

No contest pics yet but as soon as I get them, you will! The youngest dude next to me was 32 in my division. And they were all big boys. Didn't place top 3. When I find out where I placed I'll let you know.

Here's a pic after I had a shower (the best fucking shower ever lol) and a feed.
