    New to forum, tried to figure out journal blog option but it just directed me to the main page...

    In final year at uni, consistency has been the problem with lifting, all is good till exams and stress come to play :/ Just coming back from 4 weeks off, scaling down weights and hopefully should get my strength back quickly.

    Routine
    Greyskull LP - Use metric but will convert to lbs so numbers might sometimes look funky...

    Diet
    Going to play around with carb back-loading, 3-4 articles written by john kiefer explain the concepts pretty well. Want to recomp eventually getting down to 10-12% at 200lbs.

    Goals
    *Very broad*
    Bench: 2 plates
    Squat: 3 plates
    Deads: 4 plates

      *Cycling in box squats for a variation, starting on a bench which is a bit high, will slowly lower once hamstring strength starts to increase*

      *Did palms facing, pretty tough*

      *Doing just a couple of sets instead of neck work, won't really keep track*

      Big blow to the ego coming back, lost a fair bit of strength but things will get better once diet is in check.

        Routine needs to be reset, changing up some of the lifts, a new start, things will only get better from here

                          *Little disappointing, wasn't using my preferred bar so the bar was rolling off my back a little, got a vid which I'll post in here later, unsure whether to keep these in or not, its a pretty technical lift and I maybe better off just squatting and dealing with the extra doms...*

                          Pretty good workout, just cruising at the moment getting back into it, looking forward to new poundages but for now I'm just making up the ground I lost. Liking the carb backloading, hopefully I'll get a good recomp going

                            *Good, felt better with weight dropped down, will start micro loading*

                            *Started off ok...finished 2nd set and decided to drop box squats. I don't feel like I can grasp the technique and flex off the box with my glutes, also I read several articles with mixed reviews about whether or not they are helpful to the raw lifter. So I'll stick with just back squats and deal with the doms*

                            *Not too bad, will stay at that weight till I reach 10 reps in both sets*

                            Good workout, feel better about dropping box squats and going back to regular squats. Adding in some paused squats and bench as assistance to take care of any weak points, coming out of the hole and off the chest.

                              *Nicee, felt really good, was ok for 5 reps then needed to strap up for the rest of the reps, felt bar rolling in my hands a bit definitely a tiring set, not sure whether I rested too long between pulls, I need to try more touch and go*

                              Decent workout really happy with my gym seeing they bought a trap bar!! Definitely another variation I can add to deadlift day...Energy was good, diet wise: loving the post workout carb binges...skipping breakfast isn't too bad
