    I have finally decided to don the posing trunks once again and enter the Nabba UK show on November 6th.

    Im doing it to prove to myself that i can still get my arris in shape at the ripe old age of 36.
    im by no means in the position I want to be size wise or condition wise but sod it.

    I have been training on and off since I last competed back in 2005 so I have had no real consistency at all. I have been training solidly since january and have gained some nice size and shape by just training hard and eating well.

    I did an experiment with Ken "Skip" Hill 12 weeks ago whihc involved a diet with ****y carbs which for me worked well. I lost 3" from my waist and gained everywhere else. I was so impressed with his work ethic I have asked hi to help me for this prep so I will be a part of Team skip.

    Im 21 weeks out as of yesterday so a nice long drawn out diet which should see me dialed in nicely come show time.

    Todays training

    Chest
    Incline Smith press 5 Sets 12-8
    Incline Flyes 4 Sets 12-10
    Standing Cable Flyes 4 Sets 12-15
    Seated Iso press 3 Sets failure

    I would usually have done cardio this am and also hit calves too but had an accident at work yesterady which damaged my foot. So will need a few days for that to recover.

    So here is post 1 of gawd knows how many.....

      welcome to TS! Are you another loony Brit? You won't fit in if you aint just a tad nutsy

      I too am doing a show in nov and prefer a long easy prep. makes life a lot easier to deal with! all the best! I hope that foot heals quickly man.

          Yeah seems a long time to prep for so long but as skip says better to have a nice ride in rather than a mad rush. So true.

            Seated Widegrip pulldowns (Rear) 4 Sets 8-12
            Angled Widegrip Pulldowns (Front) 3 Sets 10-12
            Standing Rope Rows 4 Sets 10-15 Last Sets pump set to failure
            Bentover Rows 3 Sets 8-10
            Partial Deadlifts 3 Sets 12,12,6

            Thats it. Good solid workout done with minimal rest in between. Felt quite strong today. Well by my standards anyway lol.

            Trip to tescos then last meal before bed.

              Quads

              Squats 8 Sets 8-20
              Leg Ext 5 Sets Failure
              Front squats 3 Sets Failure

              Thats it. LOL my quads were pumped to the max and I can genuinely say I had nothing left in them after this workout.

              Nice solid form from start to finish.

                Rope Pushdowns 5 Sets 12-15
                Overhead Cable Extensions 4 Sets 12-15
                Cable Tricep Kickbacks 4 Sets 10-12
                Closegrip Pushups 2 Sets Failure (Partner pushingdown on shoulders after 10 reps)

                Seated DB Curls 3 Sets 10-12
                Cable Curls 4 Sets 10-12 (Last set varible position triple drop set)
                Posing Curls 3 Sets Failure

                Awesome arms session today. My arms felt like they were going to explode! Great pump.

                Meals got slightly messed around today due to a shit day at work. Ending up shifting everything back and as a result was a meal down by the end of the day. Still managed to consume 6 meals but always like to hit 7 possibly 8 where ever I can.

                  Nice delt workout tonight. The gym was dead this evening so had the run of the place. Was supposed to hit hams too but my glutes and hams are still
                  way too sore from squats on weds. We are gonna hve to have a rethink of where to slip them in.
                  Diets been superb today. Dropped 2lb this week.

                    Incline DB Press 3 Sets 10 8 4 Upto 120lbs
                    Iso Chest Press 3 Sets 10 Slow then alternate pressing 40k
                    Standing Cable Flyes 3 Sets Failure 40lb Each side

                    Standing calf raises 3 Sets 20 20 Last set triple drop set

                    Nice wokrout was feeling strong today on the back of yesterdays skipload

                    Also completed 20 mins cardio on the crosstrainer this am

                    Diet has been spot on today.

                              Thanks bro!!! Cant wait now. Its been a long journey and im glad its finally coming to an end! Im gonna stay alot leaner for next year as boy did I have some timber to shift!
