  • GP Journal

    Starting the cycle at 5mg/ed in split doses. Will take it up to 10mg/ed in either 1 or 2 weeks. I am keeping a moderate diet with low carbs and high protein. I'll report measurements weekly.

    3/23/04
    Current weight = 107 (retaining about 3 pound of water due to PMS, I feel so puffy )
    Waist = 25"
    Hips = 36"
    Lower Quad = 16"
    Calf = 12.5"
    Bicep = 10.5"

    I have been slacking on the gym the lasy couple months due to repeated illnesses etc. So getting back into pre-sick shape is going to be painful. Today was leg day and I felt like I was ripping myself apart but it was a great workout and I got an incredible pump. It has been too long since I did legs to tell whether the Rx helped the push or not.

    Slight dull headache after workout, took 1 Excedrine and it cleared it right up.

    Will do chest and shoulders at the gym today. Won't have access to a puter this evening though so I will report details tomorrow on how it went. The only thing I have noticed today is that this stuff dries me up like a raisin. My eyes are so dry and scratchy that my contacts are hurting. I have been sucking down water but it isn't helping. I guess I will have to throw in something with some electrolytes. Maybe this will help the PMS bloat go down though. I guess there is good in everything.

        I was told not to expect to notice any gains for about 4 weeks so you can imagine my pleasure when 3 days in I already notice a difference in my quads. It is difficult not to just up the dose but I am going to be safe and stick to my 5mg for the rest of the week. It makes me really tired too. I guess because my body is working overtime to repair the damage I am doing in the gym.

          No gym today...

          I am soooo tired. I feel like I could sleep all day. I want to go to the gym but there is no time today. My car was in the shop and we have a bunch of things to do this afternoon. I don't know if I'll have time tomorrow either but I am definitely going on Saturday if I can't make it tomorrow.

            Noticable Sides Begining for Week 2
            *Fatigue (I don't want to get out of bed in the morning)
            *Back Pumps (lower back becomes very sore when walking around doing shopping etc.)
            *Slight Back acne (nothing serious, just getting some clogged pores and a couple pimples)
            *Spotting (not on period but getting some bright red spotting, not enough to require a tampon, just a panty liner)
            *Sex drivein through the roof and there is slight swelling but barely noticable.
            *Mild aggression (not anger, just less tolerance for stupidity lol)

            Weight = 109
            Waist = 25"
            Hips = 36"
            Lower Quad = 16"
            Upper Thigh = 20"
            Calf = 12.5"
            Bicep = 10.5"

            No change in measurements but weight is up by 2 pounds and water retention is gone. Muscles feel harder especially after a workout. When I look in the mirror I feel like I look bigger but that obviously is not the case. I think it is because the muscles are more defined so they appear bigger.

            Strength and pumps were way up. Tricep heads felt like they were going to split.

            I am hungry ALL THE TIME. It is pretty easy to keep the carbs and fat at bay though because all I crave is meat. Lots and lots of meat. It is so cool that I have gained weight yet my body looks more compact. I am extremely happy at this point. I am keeping close tabs on the sides. I pay close attention to what my body is telling me. At this point there is nothing that is uncomfortable only things that are noticable.

              Well the spotting thing is NOT going away. Talk about aggrivating. I am going to stop my b/c pills on Sunday for one week. This will force me to have a period. After 7 days I will start the b/c pills again and see if that curbs the spotting problem. If it doesn't then I am not sure what I will do at that point. Hopefully it will resolve itself.

              The most significant side other than the above is fatigue. I am so tired in the morning and at night. During the day I am fine though.

              I am EXTREMELY sore from the gym. I am able to lift much heavier weight this week and also push it more times so I just wrecked my upper body at the gym with HB the other day. I am dying He says it is good for me.

              One thing is for sure. I will look great in my wedding dress next year. Of course I have to get a strapless hehe

              I don't know if I will have time to go to the gym today. I have to get my son's room ready for his new bed to be delivered and then HB and I have a photo sitting at 6:20pm. I am going to try to throw legs in there somewhere though.

                Strength is up dramatically. Last time I did legs the extensions were only at 50-60lbs. This time I ended at 110 and I should have started at 110 but I didn't expect I would be able to lift the much. From now on I am just going to increase weight quite a bit each time and try one rep to see if that is where I should be before I waste the effort on too little weight.

                I am still spotting although it is a little less now. I have started taking the b/c pills first thing in the morning then 5mg around 10am and another 5mg around 6pm. I am continuing this for the next few days and see how it goes. Hopefully my theory is right.

                  Forgot to take the Rx before I left for the gym and really noticed a difference. My strength was way down and I didn't get any of the pumps I have been getting while on. I'll never make that mistake again. It was really discouraging for my workout. I felt like I had wasted an hour of my day. Today is shoulder/chest/triceps and I have already taken my vitamins so I should be good to go.

                      I feel fat.... It kinda gets me down because half my pants don't fit. But, the upside is that I am responding extremely well to the var. My chicken legs are actually gainging some shape and my delts/bis/tris are looking much bigger ( at least to me ). So that part makes me VERY happy. I am really trying to push the side delts out and bring up my quads and calves. By the end of my 10 weeks I think I am going to be very happy although I may have 15lbs of fat to lose.

                      The sides aren't that bad. I am still spotting but I am so usd to it now that it is just a minor inconvenience. I get a small pimple occasionally but they are not deep seated ones, just surface so they disappear in a day or 2. I am still pretty tired in the early morning and at night but during the day I feel fine. I get slight spinal headaches before bead but a little advil takes care of it.

                      All in all I am very happy with var so far. I understand that a lot of women experience nasty sides and don't respond as well as I do with their gains so I feel very fortunate. It is so tempting to up the dose but I won't. Sometimes it take a good 6 weeks for some of the sides to appear and I would hate to wake up in a month sounding like Jessy Ventura... lol

                        Day 18
                        Thursday April 8th, 2004

                        OK time for another update... Everything is looking up today (Friday). There has been no blood since yesterday morning at 10am!! HIP HIP HOORAY!! I started taking my b/c pills a few hours before the var and I think it is working... Let's hope it continues. Gains are coming along great, almost everything is up 1/4" from last week. It doesn't seem like a lot when you say it like that but keep in mind I am only 5'1". My weight has now reached 111 and still rising. I imagine I will be somewhere around 120-125 when I finish. Yesterday at the gym I though my triceps were going to split open. HB likes to laugh at me when I am in pain at the gym... It makes me cry but I am tough. Yesterday was shoulders and chest. I would post my routine but I left my log in HB's gym bag so I will edit this post later and add that stuff in.

                        Monday April 11th

                        I did legs on Saturday at the gym. HB was there to push me since it was his day off. I am SO sore. I have been hobbling around.. I can't walk downhill or down stairs, it is difficult to even step off of a curb without falling down. Hopefully I will start feeling better soon. My son can't even sit on my lap because it hurts my quads too bad.

                        I didn't write down weights this time so I'll just say how many sets I did of each...

                        Squats 3 sets
                        Leg Press 2 sets
                        Hack Squat 2 Sets
                        Leg Extensions 3 sets
                        SLDL's 2 sets
                        Lying Leg Curls 3 sets
                        Standing Calves 2 Sets

                        Weight was 109. I felt like I had lost some water retention which felt good because my belly was ROUND lol.

                        Calves are starting to get some shape and the outer quads are pushing out a tad. Makes me smile..

                        I started spotting again last night but it hasn't been very much. Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow morning.

                        My face is breaking out a little more now. I had 4 pimples over the weekend but it could just be stress. I had to take my son to the ER Friday night, he is fine but it took a toll on me. I'll evaluate the acne thing again in another week to see if it is really the AAS or stress.

                              No gym today. The legs are feeling a lot better. 2 more days and I should be ready to work them again but it will actually be 3 days before it is their turn again so everything will be fine. Tomorrow is chest/shoulders/tris. This is my favorite day. Mostly because that is where I am making my most gains and I can really see it when I am working out. Still no spotting, one week now. YEAH! Have developed one more side though, although it isn't too bad, more embarassing than anything else. The underarm funk is getting kinda bad. The deoderant I have been using isn't doing it's job so I guess I will try something else and see if that helps. If not I guess I am going to have to take pit washing breaks during the day lol
