    Tues 02/11
    upper load/lower pump
    Weight 228

    Load
plate loaded pull down machine 145/sidex12
    BB Row 275x9
    Cybex incline press 160/sidex15
    Shrugs 315x12

    Pump
    hoist leg press – 300 x fail
hoist ham curls – drop set, start at 9, drop to 6, then drop to 4
    Calf standing raises – 150 x fail, drop to 105 x fail

Had a hectic schedule today which made this one feel a bit rushed but glad I was able to get it in. I kept my cadence controlled with the load sets but when I got to the pump work I just banged out quick reps to get a pump so I could get out of there.

      Wed 02/12
      upper muscle rounds
      weight 230

      25 min fasted am cardio

      Eagle row 210x4,4,4,4,4,6
      Eagle pull down 240x4,4,4,4,4,4
      hoist chest press 15x4,4,4,4,4,7
      cable upright row 80x4,4,4,4,4,5
      Overhead rope ext 140x4,4,4,4,4,5

Everything felt good today. I am getting these weights dialed in closer to where they need to be for these. I think its more of a mental thing but if I am already over on the reps I know I don't grind as hard to failure as if I am just a tad short and trying to hit that goal.

Decided to go ahead and put up some progress pictures. I did my best to take them in same place, same light, same time of day, no pump, etc so that they would be true comparisons. Ones are left were taken 30 days ago and ones on right were taken today. I have no clue why the ones on the left my color is off so much. Got a bit of Donald Trump color going on there. Weight is the exact same at 230.

I am having some issues viewing the attachments. It says "invalid file specified". This may just be an issue for me though.

I can see them fine and I also signed in under my alias as a registered member (instead of admin) and I could view them just the same.

So, it isn't a permissions issue or I would not have been able to see them on my alias account.

It must be something on your end, JohnDylan15. However, I am unsure what it would be.

This one kicked my tail. Didn't sleep that great last night so that may have made this one a little tougher. My wife doesn't know it yet but we are going out of town next weekend for a much needed get away. A little valentines surprise but we have been non stop with the kids recently so really looking forward to just getting a break from the normal life for a couple days and having some chill time.

Weight was up a tad today but my pumps were great. Overall my body is feeling good and my strength seems to be increasing. Going to keep my calories and cardio the same through the next set of progress pics. If I don't see progress I will adjust my diet some and bump the cardio up but I want to go off of the pics more than the scale. My general activity level goes up a good bit when spring comes around. I really enjoy being outside and we normally have 3 days a week of baseball with my son so that always helps me lean out a bit. Through the winter months its hard to get outside and be active especially through the week because the days are so short.

                  Tues 02/18
                  Upper load/lower pump
                  Weight 231

                  25 mins fasted am cardio

                  Load
Cable Pull down 210x12 (left side machine)
                  Cable row close grip 255x9
                  Db inclines 110x12
                  Hoist ohp 258x14

                  Pump
                  squats 205x18,12. 135x20

This one went pretty smooth. My lower back got super tight after my first set of squats. Lower back issues is one of the big reasons I am not using squats as a loading movement right now. Will stick with the light weight and higher volume until I feel like my back is up for it.

                    upper muscle rounds
                    weight 229

                    25 mins fasted am cardio

                    T bar row 115x4,4,4,4,4,4
Straight arm lat pull down 65x4,4,4,4,4,5
                    Incline DB flys 45x4,4,4,4,4,6
                    DB lat raise 35x4,4,4,4,4,1
                    skull crushers 50x4,4,4,4,4,6

Felt pretty good going through this one and then hit a wall on the db lat raises. I did go up on weight but lost 5 reps. I think I may have just jumped to this one too quickly after finishing the flys which already hit some of my delts. Everything else was a progression though so not too worried as long as most things are headed the right direction.

                      standing calf 205x4,4,4,4,4,5
                      hoist curls 8x4,4,4,4,4,8

Think I may have doubted myself a little on this one. There were a few where I adjusted up on the working weight because I was well over the 4 reps on the last set. Despite going up on the weight I still ended up going over across the board. With wrapping up another week I feel really good about the way my gym sessions are going. My body/joints are feeling good and I know I will hit a wall with the progression at some point but its nice to see the progression in the log along side of my body feeling good. The gym is fun right now and I hope it stays that way.

Had an awesome 3 day get away with the wife this weekend. We ate terrible and drank way too much but we had an amazing time and that means far more to me than gym progress. Weight was up today and strength felt good, but had a little harder time controlling my breathing. Good start to the week and getting back on track.

Eagle Leg ext - paused reps 110x13 drop to 60x9 (I pause 1/2 way up, then at top, then 1/2 way on way back down to keep momentum out of these)
Standing calf raises- 135x22 drop to 90x12

Had something come up yesterday so could not make it to the gym. Did get in the morning cardio but hoping I can work it out to go Friday and still get my 4 days in. Pretty good session today and still progressing fine. Was a bit surprised to see my weight drop 5lbs as I didn't hit 228 at all last week. As I have said before not too concerned about the scale but do have to wonder if the 3 days of eating whatever has my metabolism running faster. Depending on what weight does over the next couple weeks I will def. keep this in mind and may up my skiploads some to see if that gives same results.
