  • I am throwing the scale away

So i have busted my ass all weekend in the cardio room. I mean i went 4 times, and i was working hard. Sunday 2 hours of basketball tourneys.

So today im busting my ass in the gym, my
bis are getting a lil cut in them, right at the start, my training partner says im the most vascular hes ever seen me. Iam feeling good having some great work outs

I hope on the scale, what do i see i put 2 lbs on over the weekend. so now im 232.5 with shorts and a shirt and shoes.

But i dont get it, ive cut carbs back, increased protein and cardio, and im getting stronger, and more cut. The six pack is starting to form, you see the top 4 abs easy, and the whole region is coming together. Just will have to work harder i guess. And im not weighing my self for 2 weeks

Hey man...just so you know, we all fluctuate like that all of the time. Time of day and water consumption make a huge difference on the scale. I've been told to not look at a scale (unless you're trying to make a weight class) or calipers (a whole other issue!) and judge by the mirror. I have been going from 130 in the morning to 134 at night for the last few weeks, but when I dried out and got rid of my water, I was 128 in the morning. You're a much larger man than me so two pounds is not something to worry about. You're seeing your changes that's what matters. Step on the scale for the fun of it, but don't sweat it!

      STAY OFF THE DAMN SCALE!!!!!

If you are going to use a scale while dieting, use a scale that measures bodyfat...... If not all you are doing is playing mind games with yourself.......

Use the mirror!! It is your best judge while cutting....... Who cares what you weigh..... it is just a number.... Now how you look, thats what matters!!

Now stay off the scale keep hard at that diet, and you will be VERY pleased!

Use the mirror not the scale and go from there--easier said than done, eh? If youre getting more cut/vascular, etc, you must be doing something right. Dont sweat it too much...you sound like youre doing well! Keep it up!

              Hey now!!! lol

Seriously......I get carried away at times over what the scale says. But remember, 2 days of cardio may not show up right away. Besided, if you're building some mucscle on top of loosing some fat then the scale is going to stay about the same or even go up.

So ya, stay off it for a while.

everyone has already said it, but I'm going to say it again; "who cares what the scale says!" throw that thing in the trash. Go by the mirror, if your happy great, if your not work harder, simple as that.

Even though I usually eat tons of crap on vacations, I usually lose weight because I'm not eating as frequently or as many meals.

I dont even own a scale. Instead i take measures as well as have my bf% done with calipers or if i'm really gettin low in bf% i get dunked (hydrostatic). What matter is what every1 sees not a stupid number.

FBC - I started my prep about 3 weeks ago. I dropped my carbs a bit over the last 3 weeks, dropped them again late last week and have continued to get harder and harder over this time. I weighed in today 4 pounds heavier than 3 weeks ago. lol

It isn't about that damned scale. We are all so programmed (myself included) to have to see numbers go down when we cut and numbers go up when we bulk.
