  • Where do you get your fiber?

Where or from what sources do you get most of your daily fiber?

I try to but those fiber capsules when they go on sale. But I know I'm lacking in the fiber department here. I get my veggies in but still looking for more suggestions.

That's going to kill my Atkin's diet, lol. No, I have actually spent quite some time in the breakfast cereal isle in my local supermarket. You barely get more than 3 grams of fiber per serving for MOST cereals.

Actually lots of fiber shouldn't kill an Adkins diet...Fiber is carbs that we can not digest.

I think the name of the fiber carb is cellubose.....so just remember in a complex carb in the caloric content you can subtract the cals from carb fibers cause we can not assimilate them

fiber is a "no impact" carb, which means it doesn't effect your insulin levels, so it doesn't count for your daily carb intake whether you are on no, low or high carb.

Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal has 8-9 grams of fiber per serving, and it tastes great to!!!

My wife buys that, and it's good, but I don't eat it too much because of the high sugar content.

I rely on oatmeal, bread, lima beans and broccoli mainly plus the Lean Mass Matrix shakes I drink have 5 grams per pouch. Oh, and natty PB has some fiber, along with the mixed nuts.
