  • Training Legs with back injury

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas for training around a herniated l5-s1 disc? Appreciate it

With that spot Im guessing leg press hurts? If so, shorten the range of motion and if you do go deep, make sure your hips don't turn. With L5/S1 I would think it would hurt to use anything but the tension at your knees to make the movement happen. So a closer and lower foot placement.

Strengthen the living hell out of your core with mostly plank variations. Gotta build more stability for that herniation to heal up efficiently and ensure it doesn't happen again.
