  • Help with Phil Heath info please

I have him competing about 5 times as an amateur and about 10 as a pro.

As an amateur he was only beaten once when he didn't win an overall at the Colorado State in either 03 or 04 - can't remember because he and I were in that show together both years. I THINK he missed the overall in 03.

As a pro I am curious who he has lost to because it is not many damn people. Off the top of my head: Jay Cutler, Kai once, right? and 4 guys placed in front of him at his first Arnold. I think he took something like 3rd in his first Olympia?

I think 04 as well. Not sure of the list he's lost to though.

Rick Sosias beat him in the overall at the 2003 Colorado. Phil won the show in '04, then the Jr. Nat's and USA's in '05 and the two Pro shows he did in '06.

      http://musclememory.com/show.php?s=PHil+heath&g=M

Then he was beaten from '07 - '10, before his undefeated streak from '11 onward.

In '07 he was beaten at the ASC by:

      1 Victor Martinez
      2 Dexter Jackson
      3 Toney Freeman
      4 Gustavo Badell

In 2008, Dexter and Jay (ASC and Mr. O) beat him.

At the Olympia on '09, he was 5th behind:

      1 Jay Cutler
      2 Branch Warren
      3 Dexter Jackson
      4 Kai Greene

and then Kai beat him in 2010

I count a total of 7 guys who have placed ahead of Phil.

      Sosias
      Cutler
      Jackson
      Freeman
      Badell
      Warren
      Greene

          I know - that's why that's so friggin' cool.

He can tell his grandkids he was one of only about a half-dozen guys to beat Mr. Olympia back in the day.
