  • Anyone use casein PWO.?

    I've seen a few companies recently pushing the idea of isolate/casein blends PWO are superior to straight isolate. Curious if anyone here purposely either mixes proteins or uses isolate/hydro intra then casein post? I guess if you eat within an hour after your PWO drink it doesn't matter, but if your not eating for a while it might be a good idea

    Specifically for post work-out, there's no logical reason to use casein over an isolate. Not that I can think of at least. Casein is not only slow absorbing, it also has significantly lower bioavailability than whey isolate. If you were going to miss your post-PWO meal and were concerned about it then you'd be better off using pasteurized egg whites instead of casein because of their superior absorption. In my opinion anyways.

        Not to mention almost NO cabs, sugar, fat, cholesterol. What it doesn't have is just as good as what it does have.
