Been a while since I've been here but I thought it's a good place to ask this.
Basically I've been using the anabolic diet principles of low carb (less than 30g a day, probably get closer to 40-50) and then I eat carbs on the weekend.
Well I basically eat what ever I want on the weekend and I baseline every friday. Currently just maintaining my weight.
I have increased my muscle mass over the last few months from 162lb to 178lb and I feel great in my new weight class (I'm a boxer).
So yesterday I had a massive carb and fat day. I estimate I probably ate 6000-8000 calories of cereal, chocolate, sausages, ice cream, pink waffers, bread, beef brisket, sweet potato fries, sweets, 2 litres of full fat coke and probably some other stuff I can't remember.
The only thing I find strange is how little i gain over the weekends. When I used to use skips loading principles I would gain 12lb the next day. Fair enough I was trying to get to the 147 class at 6'1 and I must have been depleted but it seems so strange how I only gain at most 4lb the next day. today I only gained a 1lb in water weight.
I stuff myself like crazy but I baseline every time. I'm not complaining, I am just intrigued why it is I gain so little after a huge carb load now than when I did when I was much lighter?
