  • Sleep issues HELP

    Guys,
    I have been having re-occuring sleep problems for about a year now. I am convinced they are the cause of my super slow gains. I go in cycles; I take my sleep meds and feel great for a week or two, I make gains, my body changes daily then I try to sleep without assistance, I get a day or two of decent sleep without them then I get stressed out and toss and turn a couple nights in a row and BAM!! I catch a cold. Its like clock work. And the cold knocks me on my ass for 4-5 days and I slip back to where I was.
    I really think I have great potential, im 5'10 (almost) 23 yo and have seen 258 with a 4 pack ( slight chubbiness) but lately this sleep thing is killing me. I am back down to 240-247 and DAMMIT can't get up to 250 again. 3 weeks ago I was going awesome got 2.5 weeks in and was feeling so big and strong I broke the smith machine dead lifting. I felt like a beast and today I feel like a cheerleader after a week off from a cold.
    I have just about had it, I am going in for a sleep apnea test and I have ordered some valium but I HATE taking medications for stuff like sleep, aches, and colds. I dont want a band aid I want a cure.

    Please any help. I bought some ZMA as I am desperate and I seem to remember when I was young It seemed to help me sleep.

          Valerian root and melatonin together is one of the few things that actually makes me drowsy.

          I sleep like a damn log when taking those.

            A deficiency in Calcium has also been shown to cause sleep disorders...When you do take it, make sure it is before bedtime...

                try the ZMA. it makes me sleep DEEP. in fact, i no longer take it if i have early class the next day. it makes me not wanna get up
