I just got done watching a Q and A with George Farah in Ireland. Just wanted to get your guys' opinions, experiences, and insights on a few things that stuck out...
1. He doesn't consider egg whites to be a good source of protein. They should just be utilized as "filler" when you're hungry. Good to diet with because you just end up on the toilet crapping it out, lol.
2. It's not a good idea to take in simple carbs post-workout. Reason being that weight training increases GH and simple carbs blunts this effect. He'd rather have you take in a very fast-acting protein or aminos.
3. Staying leaner in the off-season (I think lean as in abs showing) is more conducive to putting on muscle mass as opposed to being less lean.
4. He is a carb/protein kinda guy and believes you shouldn't add any more fat. Reason being is that you get enough naturally-occurring fat from your diet. Even a 4 oz. chicken breast has about 4-5 grams of fat in it.
That's it for now.
