  • Skinny/new to weight lifting

    I'm 6' and 140lbs.

I eat all day and gain no weight.
I don't gain much from working out(at least my workout)

Is it a realistic goal for me to try to gain a lot of muscle?

If so what are some good tips for doing so?

I'm on a very limited budget.

I'd like to see what you eat during a day-and I mean REALLY eat. Every meal, every snack.

Typically people eat less (macro/calorie wise) than they think.

It changes everyday. But it's usually a bunch of small stuff. I cant seem to eat alot in one sitting.

Here's your first problem IMHO. You need to establish a plan, then follow the plan.

You're not gaining weight because you're grazing, and you honestly have no idea what you're eating.

What kind of plan? I'm open to a lot of criticism.

Like what should I focus on?

Download a diet tracker on your phone, plug in EVERYTHING you eat for a few days, report back.

what you really oughta do is start reading the stickies here. they're all laid out for you right on top of the forums and soak up as much knowledge from those as you can and then some. thats what most everyone else on the board did, it wasnt just handed out like a cookie. shit takes time, like years of time, and the longer you go about it without learning and doing some of your own research, your just gonna be spinning your wheels and next year complain about being 18, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds and just cant seem to put on the weight.

Eat 2 large pizzas a day, added to what you already eat. And drink a gallon of milk a day.
Every single day for 6 months. Then see if you gained any weight.
