  • how many hours do you sleep?

just seeing how everyone else has their sleep set up. playing around with different hours while doing some magnesium before bed. i still wake up with the urge to stay in bed despite trying many different sleep hours.

also, commentary on your recovery with different sleep times is appreciated. one night i took a huge meal in before bed and knocked out for about 10 hours, waking up ~2-3 times in between. felt great but wasted a lot of the day.

Have you ever tried a polyphasic sleep cycle?

In bed at 10 and up between 6:30 and 7:30 - usually have to get up twice during the night to use the bathroom.

Those polyphasic cycles are interesting, but don't seem feasible for those who work a normal job.

This guy from the same website didn't seem to like it much:

About a year ago I found myself with a lot of free time on my hands. So I decided to cheat on sleep. An internet meme knocked on my door called 'polyphasic sleep' and rumour has it that by switching your sleep rhythm from monophasic (six to nine hours in one stretch) or biphasic (5-6 hours and a single afternoon nap) to polyphasic (many naps spread evenly) will increase the time of your waking life (some even reported as few as three of sleep hours on the Uberman Sleep Schedule) while also give

            Definitely an interesting concept though

QUITE interesting. have you tried this? i also wonder if this messes with recovery for lifters, since i am assuming most of the people with those different cycles were not serious lifters.

It's not any better in Fanta-sea.

In bed by 9:30-10 pm... up sometime between 2:30-4 before my alarm goes off at 4:15.

The anxiety is gone, but I wake up and can't sleep anymore. So I just study til 6, then do a bit of cardio.

Weeknights, I get around 6.5-7. I carry my lunch every day and am able to get about a 20-30 minute power nap weekdays after lunch. I know a lot of people can't do this, but I sure can! It helps with my energy for the rest of the day and my workout that night... On weekends, I get closer to 9-10 hours.
