I am curious. Not about how much food, calories, protein, etc., that you eat but rather how many different types of foods you eat in a day.

I am wondering this because most bodybuilders have a very limited variety of foods that they eat. I have been working on my variety for a couple years and I want to know where you guys are with your variety. Do not include condiments or things you drink - just solid foods.

Here is mine for a typical day:

    whole wheat bagels
    non-fat cottage cheese
    variety of fresh fruit
    eggs
    nuts
    natural peanut butter
    whole oatmeal
flavored oatmeal (on the days I train)
    brown rice
    very lean ground beef
    chicken breast
    diced tomatoes (canned)

For me it's easier to eat the same thing day in and day out. Now that I've started dieting it's easier to prepare what I eat the next day if it's what I ate today.

      Lean Beef
      Chicken
      Protein Powder
      Onions
      Green Bell Peppers
      Mushrooms
      Oatmeal
Natural PB or Extra Virgin Olive Oil

That's about it. The oatmeal with Splenda and Cinnamon seems to curb my cravings throughout the day. My PWO shake kills my cravings during the night and if the cravings come back at night I'll have myself a "Tangerine Diet Rite" soda.

I seem to be way more "stuffed" all day when eating 2000-2300 calories of CLEAN food than when I eat higher cals of crappy food. It's amazing!

I would like to point out that if people constantly eat the same foods all of the time it is a possibility that that person will develop allergies to those foods.

Keep the diet changing to help avoid developing food allergies.

A good friend had one of his inlaws choke to death from a food allergy that erupted in a bronchial spasm right at the dinner table after eating the offending food.

I have read that most people only have about 25 different foods in their diet.

Hell, I think a typical bodybuilder's "diet" contains about 5 different foods. 25 would be considered good. hehe
