  • Visalus (Body by Vi) and MLM scams

I happened to stumble across some pretty disturbing information about MLMs and specifically Visalus earlier tonight and wanted to post this info to get feedback. I am not tied to Vi, at all, but I have been approached by many people in the last 6 or so months and have told them I have no interest in it. I do, however, have some friends that do it and they have BMWs and have raved about how great the whole thing is.

Then I found out the real deal about the BMWs and the "checks" they hold for pictures that are used for marketing purposes. Yikes ....

Read what ViSalus distributors pray that you never find out about.

Let's see if my site coincidentally gets attacked by malware again after posting this.

Interesting how much MLM stuff is coming up here lately. My ex-wife is involved with Limu and makes a shit ton of money and also has the BMW. She is in there 500k club which is only a handful of people compared to the tens of thousands involved.

And what do they sell, a drink made from seaweed!

This stuff really takes a "SPECIAL" person to make it big and not just anyone.

I also know some people involved in Pennie auctions that make money. These scams are every where.

          Here is the selling process:
          1. Be given false hope of a great product and lifestyle
          2. Hear enough lies that you don't know fact from fiction
          3. Start telling the same lies so much you internalize those lies
          4. Sell other people on those lies
          5. Wonder why your bank account is getting smaller...

Anyone heard of "Advocare?" When I was in college (10yrs ago) some friends were trying to get me to be a distributor. Same type of pyramid deal. I hadn't anything about Advocare much after that, until recently I have seen it pop up more. I don't know anyone who has actually made a decent amount of sustainable living with these.

Yes I do know someone that is part of that too. I haven't talk to him in a few years but is on my FB. I see his post about it all the time. I think it works for him because he has a training studio of some sort. He has always been into personal training and nutrition and majored in kinesiology. So I would imagine its pushed on to his clients.

I know people that claim big money, too, but they are lying. They also say their BMWs are paid for but the link above explains how the car promotion works.

Even those at the top that actually do make money, how do they sleep at night?

You are right in that there are a lot of these scams out there. I was surprised to see Avon and Mary Kay listed.

I remember being approached for protandum and this bitch telling me it cured her Dads stage 4 cancer. No shit.

The reason these scams are so prevalent is because no one wants to hear the truth. Watching what you eat and exercising is hard work. Most people want some magic pill that will make them slim and good looking. Everyone wants the results, but most people aren't willing to put in the work.

I have friends who have been personal trainers and they hate it because if they push their clients, most of them fall off almost immediately. We live in a sad world where people think that soy protein is some magic formula for health...

I blame the misleading information that is pushed on people from these scams, thouigh, too. It was like the guy that argued in the last thread about amway about how he got the bmw and didn't want to say that he actually had to buy it, in his name.

It's a con, is what it is, and I think it is worse when people in the industry know better and do it, anyway. It would be like me, who could push more of that shit than most people can because I have clients all over the world. But that would make me look like a giant douche. Some people have no conscience. John Gorman comes to mind. If he could take everything I did and steal it, he is the type of person that could distribute Visalus and it wouldn't even phase him.

That's true. I've lost a lot of weight through hard work and I have had several people approach me wanting me to sell visalus. They expected me to say I had used the product to lose the weight even though they knew it wasn't true.

Obviously, I said no. Like you said, I can sleep at night. I respect people who have drawn a line as far as what they will do for money...

I have seen this very thing with competitors. They use their pictures when they weren't using Visalus and mislead people into believing that they were using it when they got into that condition.

It isn't just Visalus, though. It is like people are willing more and more to sell their souls.

My friends wife pushes Mary Kay and I can't go over there and had to defriend her on FB, so sick of seeing it. Advocare I guess you pay money up front for a discount then buy the product and sell to someone for a profit. One of the guys in my gym was talking about it and I tried to talk him out of it
