  • Measure recovery by heart rate ?

    Hi.

Since I'm a bit prone to overtraining, I've been using my resting HR at wakeup, as a measurement for my recovery lately.

My normal resting heart rate is around 58-65 BPM. A day after training it usually is around 70-75 BPM at wakeup. Then after a day of rest, back to 58-65 again.

I've been googling "heart rate + overtraining". And seems like a heart rate that is 5-10 BPM above normal = overtraining (?) At least according to Livestrong.com it seems to be the case. Any opinions on this ?

Btw anyone tried out the TRAC - by Mike Tuscherer ?

    Thanks
