  • 2012 Arnold Classic

    Greeting Intense Muscle Family,

This is the week of the biggest fitness event in the world. Yes I know the Olyimpia is the big show, but if you see all that is going on during the Arnold, it is the biggest.

As I stated in a previous thread we are going to be filming several athletes, pro and top level amateurs in our newest section of the IM website, "Intense Interviews".

If you are going to the Arnold and would like to meet up let me know. I am a native here and can point you in the right direction of a lot of things you may not be aware of. Also, if anyone would like to help with the interviews and video production please let me know. The more the better.

These interviews will be consisting of sit downs, "In the trenches", and actual workouts with the pros. So any help you can provide would definitely be worth it.

If you don't have the time and just want some pointers about town, hit me up. I'd love to help. If this is your first time here you will not be disappointed. If you are claustrophobic, get over it!

Again though either way I'd love to hear from you. Post here or in my PM box. Thanks have fun.

I'm really trying to get there, but I'm scheduled to work all weekend. Trying to find some last minute switches.
    Heavy squats fix everything.

Due to my GF's tragedy in her family I'll actually be in Dayton or a small city around it. I may try to get there at some point on Saturday if possible.

Looking forward to the Arnold Strongman Classic. I like the pure strength aspect of the ASC, I mean, obviously the WSM is more well rounded because it tests endurance, strength and speed but from a brute strength perspective the ASC is superior (plus it has more overhead events which is always more fun).
The Austrian Oak event is one I'm particularly curious about, from what I understand it's basically a log press event.

If this thread is directed more towards the BBing competition, let me know, I'll refrain from clogging it up with strongman related shit.
Disclaimer: I am not a DC trainee/expert/guru/coach, anything I say is purely my opinion based on experience and research I've read

Well its the Arnold "Sports" Classic now right? I'm the least interested in the BB'ing I think and would love tosee all the other stuff from Grappling to Strongman
