  • My Deadlift 705 x 1 Attempt (fail)

    Weighing 235 in the mornings right now.

    Been doing cardio and eating less cause Spring Break is coming up (my last spring break in college.) Was coming to the end of this blast so decided to try 700 from the floor. Drank quite a bit last night, so today probably wasn't the best day to try it, haha.

    However, this was the first time I've gotten 700 to move off the floor, so I do consider it progress. Maybe next blast.

    Seemed to come off the floor pretty smooth then got stuck right below the knee.. Just curious if you ever work rack deads into your program?

    Great progress though, definitely a strong mo fo

      I racked pulled 700 easy last blast (on YouTube.)

      However, coming off supplements, adding cardio, and losing weight didn't help me maintain that strength.

        You broke it loose.....that'll be going up soon. You have the mental edge now of getting it off the floor......beast.....lol

          Brutal color co-ordinating the order of the plates- what a queer.

            Lol, the guy I used to deadlift with when I first came to Tech got me in the habit of that. He called it the "Death Cane."

                    Pretty sick considering you don't specifically train for heavy singles. You'd get mid 7s quickly if you did. Thats no small feat raw.

                      This wasn't actually raw, I was using straps.

                      I worked up to 600 x 1 with mixed grip and chalk, but didn't think I'd be able to hold the 700.
