  • Gluten Digestion Aids

Has anyone ever tried any of the gluten digestion enzyme supplements available? If so, what were your thoughts?

I am no where near having Celiac disease, but I definitely get bloated and have some digestion issues when eating gluten, even when in small amounts. I ate it during my loads throughout the duration of my prep with Skip, and always felt absolutely horrible halfway through and the day after; stinky shit, terrible gas, felt hungover, no appetite, and BLOATED. After we were done working together I realized I might be gluten intolerant so I went entirely gluten-free during my loads and this made a world of a difference. I still hold a lot of water, but I don't feel like dying the next day, my shit floats, and my wife hasn't puked after walking by the bathroom in a while.

Now Foods makes a supplement called Gluten Digest. I am considering grabbing a bottle and trying it with my next skipload, as having gluten would open up a large world of possibilities for me, but I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on this type of product first.

Never tried it but think something like this would help me also (have the same issue during a skipload). What kinds of gluten-free foods did you use for your loads?
    2005 - JABBFA Body Fitness (Figure) Championships - 4th
    2007 - JABBFA Body Fitness (Figure) Championships - 2nd
    2008 - INBF NYC Hercules - 1st Novice
    2009 - INBF Barbados Universe - Open - 2nd
    2010 - INBF Naturalmania NYC- Open - 1st Heavyweight
    2011 - INBF World Championships - Open - 3rd

My ma has celiac sprue disease. Not fun. If you're just irritated by gluten I'd say try out the Gluten Digest since you don't have full on celiac. Did you get yourself tested just in case?

Not particularly geared for gluten per se, but have you tried charcoal? That usually helps me when I feel bloat, gassy and distention from overeating...

Macho, have you tried Heckman's flush? May be a good route to try...

I think the problem is the breaking down of the proteins, not the removal of toxins. It may help though, I am not very well educated on this.
