  • Workout Nausea

Anyone have any tips for preventing nausea during workouts, I'm tired of throwing up after doing heavy compounds.

Have tried a variety of different PreWO meals and have tried training fasted, and still get nauseous.

    Any suggestions?

How long have you been working out? This used to happen to me when I first started and went away on it's own. I know not being adequately hydrated exacerbated it.

Try using some karboload or massive g mix about 45 minutes prior and see if that doesn't help...

Do you take any stims or pre-workout supps that contain them, like caffeine?

Don't take that and try your compounds again. Caffeine raises your heartrate and can cause hyperventilation. I would bet that is what is happening to you. I cannot take caffeine pre-workout for similar reasons.

Will try that this weekend and see how I feel after doing rack pulls.

I can't tolerate too many pre workout combos.....all that stuff does to me is raise my blood pressure and make my head feel like its gonna explode. I used to feel somewhat queasy while training too. I moved my workout to 2 hours after my meal and that has helped alot

Had nausea back when I only had caffeine before lifting, so it's not the other stim or sulb

And what was your diet like before you took all those stims? If I take stims and lift in the morning before eating anything I get tore up pretty bad. I have to have eaten 2-3 times if I want to take something like a geranimo or buzzsaw before lifting.

Lately i've just been eating about 75g of fruit about an hour before lifting. The less I eat before, the better I feel.

Remember to take full deep breaths and not to hyperventilate like Mike mentioned.

I sometimes get pretty bad nausea during leg training when doing heavy, high-rep sets - I've noticed that when it happens its due to the fact that I forget to breath.
