  • True Protein BCAA Plus

    Looking into grabbing some TP BCAA Plus but how is the flavor? I used to love the old Xtend formula then they changed it and N'Gage is ok but only comes in 1 flavor and TP is cheaper even with the shipping if I do a big order. Just wondering about the flavor as I've never tried them? Fruit, Organe and grape?

    I use BCAA Plus Limeade. Love it. I've actually never tried any other flavors of BCAA plus but can tell you that this flavor is damn good. I will say that the old lemonade flavor from Scivation is probably a little better tasting but this has that same refreshing taste without being too bitter or too sweet. To me, it tastes the best when it is really cold so I add some ice to my shaker bottle and I'm good to go. I keep a jug of it at my desk in case I'm caught running off to a long meeting or need a little extra focus.

      I don't remember it being bad at all - actually quite good - but a trick I use with BCAAs and some other workout drinks:

      Get some crystal light (generic brand for me) and sprinkle some of a similar flavor in with your drink... can make things much more palatable. Especially BCAAs which have a propensity for tasting harsh.

      For example: MGs powdered muscle lemonade with a sprinkle of lemonde CL.

            I have used the Fruit Punch flavor before and was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It wasn't bad at all, and I used it first thing in the morning before cardio (which is the time of the day some supps make me gag!). Like and Poke! ;-)

              started my bcaaplus today......

              drink mixes during the day

              morning
              scoop BCAA PLUS
              Scoop BCAA BOOST
              2 scoops DC whey
              5grams creatine

              Before workout crink
              1 scoop DC whey
              1 scoop BCAAPLUS
              1 scoop NO XPLODE

              After workout
              2 Scoop DC whey
              1 Scoop BCAA PLUS was using BCAA Boost
              5 grams creatine

              Depending on meals of the day if i want xtra protein-
              drink around 9-10pm2 Scoop DC whey
              1 Scoop BCAA PLUS. used to use BCAA Boost
              2 scoops DC whey
              5 grams creatine
              If your not ripping a tendon your not working the muscle to its fullest capacity!

              I just kinda feel if the weight wasn't so heavy, I could lift it:

                  usually 5grams to 15 grams a day i dont always take the late night drink only if i eat real early before 6pm and train after i eat will i do that.
                  This is only on training days non weight training days I take one maybe 2 drinks
                  So i do the creatine load maybe 3-4 days a week

                  Been doing it for years and kidney function always been good except for 2 calicum stones in my life(which is No fun)

                    I made the mistake this morning of trying my BCAA boost with my whey. Ugh, will NOT do that again. It was all I could do to choke it down lol. I don't mind the taste of the boost (grape) with water or with grape flavored G2 Gatorade, but mixed with my whey was just disgusting lol.

                    Next time, separate drinks lol, or do what I used to do with my creatine, mix it with a bit of water, and shotgun it, hopefully without it hitting any of my tastebuds haha.

                        I use it on cardio days. The lemonade flavor is pretty good.
