Smythe machine high rep deadlifts with a 30-45 sec rest between sets, repeated for about 12- 15 minutes added at the end of my back workout have done wonders for my leanness and will definitely leave you gassed.

Get a weight vest for the step mill.

Although isn't all this high intensity cardio cutting into recovery?

PHA (peripheral heart training) is extremely intense and offers great results.

              =muscle loss and fat retention!!!

What needs to be done is to increase the metabolic activity of muscle tissue and increase calories. Increase basal metabolic rate to increase what the body requires for maintainance.

It also stands to reason that, that which burns the most glycogen, burns the most fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
