I think the most interesting thing out of all this in the clear cut evidence of better genetics in pretty much every guy posted there (Yates is an exception, though his pic makes it hard to judge, so my guess is he was above average as well). Dillet looked better without ever stepping in the gym at 17 then I did after a year of training. Levrone has pretty good trap, delt, chest and arm development already (and he looks like 15-16 in that picture). Same goes for Ronnie and Jay. Centopani at 17 is pretty fucking insane as well.
Really amazing how much of a head start the genetically gifted have.

I thought the opposite, hear me out. Basically all the before pics show young kids who are naturally skinny, have low BF and have a lean muscular body. Basically you can walk down any high school hall way and find a few of these no problem. Hell I was one of these. I think these people have to POTENTIAL to be great body builders. I think the genetics more come in when you start working out and see how your body responds. The type of muscles you have, how fast you grow, the size/density etc etc. I feel like this is when you start weeding people out more and more, but as for the before shots I dont see anything to crazy. . . Look at someone like me, I had the exact body type of the Levrone before, but when I started working out I noticed I had very "short" muscles and I am very long and lean( I have really long forearms, long shins so my calves look very short and small. . . Look at the Nasser before, if you saw him on the street would you say wow that guy should become a bodybuilder?? I will say that jay cutler looks to have the most superior genetics no question

Maybe so. I agree with you in the sense that genetics don't really start showing themselves until the first year or so of training. A good example is Arnold, he looked pretty damn good after a year of training (I believe he was around 16 then), better than a lot of people in the gym look after 5 years. Shit like that truly shows what sort of effects superior genetics have.
That being said, I still think you can already see some of their genetic potential in every picture posted in that thread. Yeah it's hardly impressive given their "after" pictures, but we gotta remember that all these guys were young. All I know is that I sure as hell didn't look like any of them at that age, but then again I was a pudgy fucker until around 17 (if I say so myself though, I have pretty shitty genetics altogether but IMO that shouldn't ever be an excuse). I will say that I didn't know anyone that looked like either Dillet or Coleman at that age without ever lifting weights...though it's possible that both of them had done some sort of lifting or played sports in high school.
