  • Rope hammer curls

I was just wondering if anybody else is digging on these. Just started doing them a couple of weeks ago and just really like them. Thoughts?
If it's not fun, don't do it

Love em. Usually a staple forearm movement for me.

I find if you really try to squeeze your grip as hard as possible every rep, the entire forearm belly just gets torched.

They also lead to nice progression, which is always something I look for.

Have either of you guys tried flexing the wrist during? I've felt it more that way (obviously) but I didn't know if anyone else had tried it. Obviously I can't do as much weight that way.

I like them as a change to pinwheels or hammers, they take any momentum out of the movement.

I never thought about doing these, I'll have to try them out. Anyone ever try preacher hammer curls? I love those too

I like these as well, I use a seated machine row setup where the cable is high and also have used the low set up and do rope hammer curls where your arms are extended in front of you also.

I like adding these in after I have pre exhausted my arms and I like to focus on both the eccentric and concentric part of the movement to unsettle every fiber of my arms with a pause at the top and the bottom

I use these a lot - keep your hands separated though - if you keep them together it's easier.

Never done rope hammer curls before but thanks for the idea.
I will go for rope hammer curls after discussing with my gym coach.
