  • EQ versus deca ...

Just starting PCT from my last cycle ... I had to cut it short due to extremely sore joints ... I have never had this problem before, but attribute it to the added weight and strength due to changing my workouts to more of a strength/powerlifting type routine ...

my current weight is 275 at 6'2" ... I am shooting for 300 before I start cutting down again, so I am starting to plan my next cycle (after a proper layoff) ... I have never used deca, but have been told it is great for joint pain ... I also know that deca and EQ both increase collagen synthesis ... I like EQ for the increased pumps, blood volume and appetite increase, but I do not know if it will be enough to maintain my joints during my next cycle ...

I am curious to know from you bros that have used both, which do you prefer (in general and for joint health) and why ... I would prefer to stick with the EQ, but will run the deca if necessary ...

I prefer EQ over deca but when I do use deca which is rare I run it low dose no more then 300mg a week just to lube the joints..I get much more off of EQ then deca...Storm

I too prefer EQ over deca. Deca only masks a joint problem, not fixes it - so BE CAREFUL!

this was my major concern ... I do not want to cover it up, I want to help to prevent/heal it ... I was thinking if you were to discount the "lubed" feeling you get from deca, is there any difference between the connective tissue regenerative abilities of the two?

As I come off, my joints are feeling better, even though I am lifting the same weights, still ... is the soreness due to inflamed connective tissue or is it due to DHT ... I was told that DHT could be responsible for pain in the joints ... any other info?

BE SMART! You can't lift as much as when your on. You WANT TO BELIEVE you can, believe me. This is how I nearly tore off my infraspanatus - during post cycle.

There were a couple of great articles about joints and joint repair, but you can't read them. I'll see if I have one in my archives.
