  • The New Posing System For The Mr. O

    NEW POSING SYSTEM.

first round, one by one on the podium for al the mandatory poses (including mm!)
then symmetry round, then muscular comparisons (that was prejudging)

    final:

on the podium a big scorebord, you can see the scorings from that moment!!!!!!!!!!!!
everyone poses and you immidiatly see the scores!
the they pronounce the top 10, then the top 6
lowest placest guy oversees his 5 opponents, per opponent he says what pose he wants to do against him
then the jury decides, the winner gets 2 points with his score.
all bodybuilders must do this, you can only do a certain pose 2 times.

Yeah, I read that in the most recent FLEX magazine(Sept. issue). One of their goals is to get more audience participation. Being that we spend so much moola to go to these comps. I can see the good and bad side of it. Sounds very interesting though and can't wait to see how it all pans out.

Sounds like a good thing, hope it works out and the fans like it. Will add some interest for sure.

Wish I could get there, but hoping Pay per View will come through again.

the only problem i have with this new thing (from a competitors point of view) is how the athletes would feel while they're posing looking up at the scores on a big freakin scoreboard like some football game or something...thats not good for their morale and it could really bring their spirits down if they see a number they're not happy with...

i know u guys on here who compete like me wouldnt like to see our scores put up on some scoreboard...sure if you're on you're on, but what about the poor guy who doesnt stand a chance...that would suck imo...

And this year will be the 40th Mr Olympia event. Larry Scott won the first title before most of us here were born. Wish I could say that!!

Even with the changes, Can't see anyone but Ronnie, Jay and Dexter as 1, 2, 3.

GerryT, maybe Chris might suprise some people. I personally think if he was the same as at the AC but just a little bit drier he would be a top 3 mr. o contender for me. And maybe maybe Alex might suprise some people but depends on his tears and how they look !!

Yeah, I'm looking foward to see what Alex looks like on stage with the big boys. I heard that he had the pec and lat tear surgically fixed earlier this year.
