  • Abdominal Cramps

I finished my workout tonight and went over to put away my headphones and logbook and as I bent over to put the stuff in my gym bag I got the worst cramps in my abs. I was literally bent over for 5 minutes! At one point it went a way....I could feel the muscle untwist and then relax so I stood up and it cramped back up again. Finally it did relax enough and it's been about 4 hours and it hasn't come back.

Any ideas on why this happens? I thought potassium might be low so I ate a banana with my protein shake. I'm drinking between 1.0-1.5 gal of water each day.....

      sounds menstral to me....LOL

j/k mm......did your workout happen to include abs??? I sometimes get cramps in abs after I work them, otherwise I'm usually okay. It shouldn't be a water issue. Maybe your sodium intake is too low.

Probably just a fluke. However, when you crunch, you can crunch too hard (the muscle "twisting"), especially on obliques. You're lucky it didn't rip.

My abs cramp everytime I work them. I feel for ya man. When I bend down to put my things into my bag it hits you like a ton of bricks. I just stretch them good.

Happened to me the same way a couple weeks back. Do you take taurine, magnesium and calcium? For me that worked wonders for back pumps and cramping. The taurine at 3g's/day was the real kicker. Helped immensely when using tren.

Let's see if I can answer these....

GNB - I pretty much don't work abs unless kidrok hassles me

NG - Thank god no torn muscles. BTW since Centaur doesn't post anymore maybe you could come over to my gym and workout with me, especially since you're betting looking than kidrok!!

TH - No ab work yesterday, but I did a couple of standing tricep pushdowns on a cable machine. Abs are tight for the movement and sets went to ab-solute failure, so maybe that was it.

Thors - I don't take much for other supps, but I probably should start at least taking multi-vitamins. My Dr. recommended it a few months ago, but I've been too lazy to get any.

Winnie - No, clen here. I'm actually off everything right now. But hopefully not for long though.

DP - I hope you get some free time to add a little more to the board. I know you've got some good knowledge you can share.
