  • Quadinjections

In my last cycle, I tried to inject my quad for the first time.

I did everything right, but when I insterted the needle I felt
like I hit something, like a nerve or so, but it didn't hurt to bad, so
I injected the whole 500mg test in my quad.

An hour or 3 later, I felt that my quad began to hurt a little, but
    I thought was normal.
I have much experience with injecting in my schoulders and
    glutes, just not the quads...

So, in the middle of the night I wake up with an enormous PAIN,
I was in heavy pain, i couldn't move my leg for 1 inch, because it
    hurted so much.
The 3 days after I stayed in my bed with some heavy painkillers like valtran and contramal, but it still hurted so bad.
Then after the 3 days I could walk a little, but I was limp for like
    1 week after.

But my next cycle I'm gonna front load with test prop, so I will
have to shoot my quad again I think...

How did it come that it hurted so much? I never had that with
schoulders and glutes, and the test was enanthate...

    Maybe I hit a nerve?

What would you do? I'm very afraid of quadshot after my
    last experience
Bigger is better, there is no doubt.
My name should be: there goes the
    dude I was talkin' about!

The majority of my shots are in the quads as it just seems easier for me to do. You said when you inserted you might have hit something and more than likely you did, which caused the pain. But damn, thats a long time to be down. If it feels like I "hit" something or Im not comfortable with how things feel, Ill pull out and try a different spot (with a clean needle).

Just take it slow...I shoot real slow as well and I take my time. I found that (for me) when I inject slower there is less pain the days after the shot than when I tried to put 2ccs in my leg in 5 seconds. Good luck...

      Geoffke,

Be careful with quad shots. There are are a lot of nervers there and i have read several accounts of guys with "collapsed" quads d/t nerve damage.

Consider diluting your gear, heating it up, injecting slower, breaking it up into several smaller shots, using diff. muscles (of course), and withdrawing slightly froma deep start to spread the shot over a larger volume of muscle.

You know Big A won't use quads anymore for this reason. He hit a nerve and did quite a bit of damage. It took a LOOOONG time to recover - like a year if I remember correctly

I never had any problems until I read that - LOL. Now if I get a twinge or it really hurts when I poke a quad, I just pull and relocate.

...seems like there are to many blood vessels and nerves in quads

Try your glute shots sitting down (like on the toilet, but just on the lid, not the rim.) You just lean to the side and shoot. Pretty easy and less uncomfortable to twist around. (I'm always scared i'm gonna fall over one of these days... LOL)

Lots of good ideas here. I've run into the same problems...hitting nerve, pain after shot, but have been lucky not to have anything that lasted more than a day.

For me, I push the needle in slow that way if I hit a nerve I feel it before I actually go through it. If I do, I move the inject like the others. Once I'm in, I inject slow as well and then massage the site for a few minutes. This should help reduce the pain for you.

Yeah that is a pretty good idea. I hate those cramps too as its almost humorous to not be able to stand and twist and shoot. Im gonna have to give it a go as well...

                          Hurts dont it

I did a quad shot once and that's it!!!!!! My freggin' knee swole up the same size as my quad, about three hours after injection, left work early due to pain, got a speeding ticket trying to hurry home to heat and ice it, and couldn't walk for 6 more days.

Then, about a month ago I tried to use my delt and danged if my freggin' shoulder didn't swell. The fluid, redness, and fever from that shot drained down into my bi's and I couldn't, I mean absolutly couldn't raise my arm at all!!! Missed the whole week at the gym. That sucked!!

It's nuttin' but glutes for me from here on out!!

The thigh was about 1.5 cc test cyp. have no clue what went wrong cus there was no initial pain. Shoulder however, I got hold to some old b-12 and didin't know it my bud had same problem, but I haven't worked up the nerve to risk another week at the gym.
