I am asking for ideas to have solid, quality meals when you go out to lunch or dinner. Name the place, if it is recognizable and the meal, itself.
I will start with my favorites:
For a quick and convenient meal that is pretty solid in the offseason, I go with -
Noodles and Company and have then add 2 chicken breasts for a total of 3 (they are only 3.5oz. breasts) to one of their noodle bowls. I prefer the japanese pan fried noodles as they are pretty thick but they are heavy on the gut, too.
Chipotle - black beans, rice, chicken fajita. Easy on the cheese and guacamole but heavy on the hot salsa.
Boston Market - I don't know if they have them anymore but I used to get 2 terriyaki chicken breast sandwiches (skinless, boneless) with cheese. Add on a vegetable side and of course, warm apples, too.
Mead St. Tavern - This a tiny hole in the wall, yuppy place over by my work that has the BEST blacked tuna steak sandwich ever. They put feta cheese on it and it is absolutely the BEST. Double tuna, of course. : )
For a sit down meal I enjoy:
Sushi Boat - they fly their fish in fresh everyday. It is very quiet and NEVER busy. I have never waited for a table or had to make a reservation even on Holidays like Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. The sushi is the best I have ever had. The bill is also the biggest of any sushi place I have been to.
The Outback - Sorry to be lame but this place has the best center cut sirloin on the planet. Whether you get it in Cali or Maine, it always tastes exactly the same. That warm, brown bread that comes with all of that butter is the bomb, too. Not that I like butter or anything. : )
What about YOU?
