  • T3...need opinions here.

    like some of u here might know, im 9 wks out..My question here is what u guys thought of the way im planning to run T3 ....I wanna start it tomorrow when i'll be exactly 9 wks away from the show...here goes:

    1st two wks: 12.5mcg's

    then for the next 4wks: 25mcg's

    then until show time run it at: 50-75mcg's

    I've doen it before at 25-50mcg's for 7 wks...i wanna run it like this for this next show..

    what d'ya think, input guys..come on.

    personally I think 9 weeks is too long. I never go more than 6. building up to 100mcg/d for 2 weeks then tapering back down. Thats just me though.

      Too long? Hell, I run t3 my entire prep and have alot of my guys do the same. I have a few clients who use it damned near year round, on their own.

        so skip, u think my plan is ok?? start at up at 12.5 or just go with 25mcg to start with?? i have 9 wks to work with.. and im starting to get a lil nervous.

            First, make sure you aren't relying on the t3, though, bro.

            I would just start at 25mcg and go up when necessary. Space the dosage out, first at every 12 hours and then if you go up again, every 8 hours. It is important to be pretty consistent with t3 dosing in that you want to get it at the same time everyday, if possible.

              I think it depends on the individual. I have run t3 AND clen through a show before and I have cut them both and noticed no difference between the two. I hate to take things out of my prep after the body is used to it being there. T3 will hold off water a bit and to take it out makes me uncomfortable, to be honest. Lately, I have been having clients not take it out but sometimes cut the dosage significantly coming into the last week. Kind of a compromise, if you will.

                yea, thats what i was thinking..maybe i should start tapering it down the last two weeks before the show and not end it the T3 until maybe a week after the show.. Im guessing that would be the safe way to come off, a week after the show tapering it down...right??

                  Skip: thats the first I have read of T3 dosing needing to be precise.
                  Does it make that much of a difference?
                  and secondly how would you space a dose of 150mcg through the day?
                  I have always just taken it all at once - and I cant say I am fan of t3 with regard to effectiveness - is this the reason?

                    I think it is important for t3 levels to be as consistent everyday, throughout the day as possible. At 150mcg (which is pretty damned high, in my opinion) I would go 50mcg, 3 times a day with the same schedule of 8 hours apart.

                    If you are running 150mcg of t3 and not getting much out of it, I don't know what to tell you, bro. That much would eat me alive.

                    Pudge: I prefer to run t3 for 2-4 weeks after a show, starting to taper it the day after the show. I have a plan for everything from diuretics, gear, anti es, cytadren, etc., AFTER the show. If you come off of everything at once, you are asking for problems.

                      ur rite, i will continue with the T3 until maybe 2 wks after the show slowly tapering off so the crash wont be that horrible...

                        for those with thyroid disorders, they only take once a day, but it is supposed to be at the same time. also, dont take in alot of calcium around t3 administration because it blocks the absorbtion. so milk, whey those things should not be taken withen an hour of dose.
