I am going to Mexico for a couple of days. I am flying not driving and I going to a "touristy" location (playa del carmen). So, is it even worth trying to buy any stuff? I would say probably not but what do you guys think? I'm 99% sure I won't even try.

I just got back from Mexico...I wouldn't even walk into a Pharmacy down there...You never know who is watching you!

And if you ever fly down there, don't even think of putting it in your checked baggage...You open it up right in front of them while they look inside and rummage through your stuff! I would hate to have gear in there at that time!!or anytime..

You're better off buying it from someone domestic. Let them figure out how to get it across the border.
