  • sick of diet...question here.

    im 10 wks out rite now, and i eat 6 meals a day...all meals have protein, 330g total/day...carbs rite now are at 150g/day...i was wondering, lets say i dont feel like eating protein in one of my meals, can i just eat the oatmeal and substitute my chicken breast with 2 tbsp of glutamine?? stupid question i know, but this diet is horrendous and i wanna know what u guys think..

    i'd go with a shake rather than just glutamine

      Are you just eating chicken as the meat in your meals? Have you tried different types of meat....turkey burgers, turkey cutlets, steak, fish?

      I'd also have a protein shake instead of skipping the protein.

        i also have extra lean ground turkey/beef...but sometimes i cant even stomach that...many times i sit in front of my food and feel like hurling rite there..its like im chewing for 30 min a 8oz chciken breast or turkey breast...so i was just thinking of just substituting with something else like glutamine in order for me to keep my nitrogen retention up and not fall into a catabolic state...I know im being foolish, but u guys are rite, i shouldnt eat a meal without protein in it..

          i know exactly how that feels.. go to costco and get some low fat chicken tomato sausages. they are easy to get down and taste great w/ hot sauce. they are 19g of protein a piece w/ only 2.5 grams of fat each. 3 of those aren't too bad at all.

            that sounds good!! I guess I would have to joined costco to get it though. I have a Sam's club membership.

                I would not recommend this, bro. Either mix up your protein foods or just stick it out.

                    For the record, dieting is going to be tough any which way you look at it. Try using a little imagination with the food, maybe adding a few vegetables or very little soy sauce or other sauce that has very little simple sugars in it (I said very little Skipper :p ). Otherwise reduce the size of the meals and increase the frequency of the feedings: if you see less food, you will put it down more easily. Tough it out for a few weeks and it will become less of a drudge. Remember your taste buds will torture you for quite a while before they forget what the shittier foods taste like. (OK, shittier but definitely more enjoyable - who am I fooling? ).

                        LOL...yeah man im ok. Im actually downing a nice, dry as F**k chicken breast rite now..lovely..that stir fry is pretty good..i just didnt add the soy sauce (freaks me out) and added some hot sauce instead..

                        Im 9 wks away as of today...things are starting to look like there back on track...

                          Bottom line - its a diet- your not eating for pleasure your eating for the nutritinal value of the food... cjoke it down, and then wash it down with some crystal light.
                          chicken breast becomes much easier to eat cut up and put into a salad also.

                              What I do is marinade the chicken and then scrape it all off diligently before forman grilling it.

                              I use strong marinades that leave a good flavour behind, cajun seasoning is brilliant, bbq, lime and coriander are my other two.
