  • Hack squats

    My gym doesn't have a hack squat...now what the hell do I do to replace it in my leg workouts!!!

    Front squats are pretty good...especially if you stand with your heels on 10 pound plates.

      sissy squats...

      here's a routine that works wonders if done rite and with the rite intensity:

      Leg extensions 2-3 sets of 30 reps (warm-up)

      Front squats 3-4 sets of 12,10,8,6 reps to failure

      Walking dumbell lunges 4 sets...walk the gym back and forth-thats 1 set

      Sissy squats...hold the bar behind u as if u were gonna do barbell shrugs from the back and squat down and come up...u'll feel em'..start lite and work ur way up

      i often end these with leg extensions to get that final flush of blood in my quads..hope this helps u to forget about hacks for awhile since u dont have one...good luck

        manly man squats and leg ext will make you grow just fine in my opinion.....

              The original hack squat was performed with the heels elevated on plates. You hold a barbell behind you the bar should hang down around your ass. Then squat . That's it. Feels real good on the lower quads. You could also do 1 and 1/4 squats. Go ass in the grass. Start out of the bottom about 1/3 of the way up, go back down ass in the grass. Then all the way up. Trust me, if you do this with some weight and don't bounce your quads will be killing you.
