I can always get good workouts alone but I love training with a good partner.
Mr Mcguire has been my training partner for the past 3-4 years and he is TOP NOTCH at kicking me in the ass on those days I don't feel like I got it. And on other days he just knows how to push my buttons and we end up challenging each other as to who can get more reps, thats why it sucks to go 1st, then you set the bar and the other guy knows what he needs to get the most reps!
With my comp training I'm in the gym more days than Mark is, we hit 2 workouts a week together. On my other 2 or 3 days I now have him replaced with 2 women! Thats right, it takes 2 women to fill the shoes of Mark Mcguire! :showoff:

And from what I hear, he charges as much as two women for BJ's.

I agree, I have a good friend, the trainer I know from Bally's, been buds for about 7 years now. He can kick my ass hard, both in the gym and out.

So out of you two, who's stronger? I know KR, you compete so it varies. But when you're both bulking, who can put up more weight? Squats? Deads? Bench?

Trying to open a can of worms here. Don't be modest.

That is cool you guys train like that. I haven't had a training partner in about a decade, no kidding.

Seems like my partners just want to kid around, cut up, have coffee and doughnuts with their w/o or something. No thanks.

When I was out of my mind before training with DC, I used to do super high volume training and I would go through workout partners like water.

Now people are so sick they actually pay to workout with me and do DC's program, kinda nuts these people are...

I get to train with Randy occasionally and I love it!!! Talk about intensity-it rubs off on me. My entire body was shaking the other day while training calves, one of those times when it hurts soo good...I've tried training with a few other guys but haven't found a regular yet.

Let's see here.....when KR isn't getting ready for a show he'll out weigh me by about 15-20 lbs I think. He gonna be around 200-205 and I'll be around 185-190. But even if we weighed the same he's stronger on most lifts.

Correct me if I'm wrong here KR...

                      Chest - KR
                      Bi's - KR
                      Tri's - Same
                      Back - KR
                      Shoulders - KR
                      Legs - Same

We don't get into who lifts more, we work to push each other to do more that we did the previous set or workout. So basically, I compete against what's written in my log book.

that sums it up nicely. but I will add that he has that "mental strength" that just causes me to have to drive myself harder, not sure why, he's very subtle about it.
                        :kick:

Quite often he will load up the plates before my set so that even if I wanted to go lighter I can't cuz he's already put the plates on and its against the rules to take them off without doing a set.
