  • Best Anti-e and why

Hey everyone, I'm new, but I've been reading on these discussion boards for years. This seems like a great one and I'm glad to be here.

Anyway, I did a search on anti-estrogens and did not really find that much (I know the board is still pretty new). So, how about it. What is your favorite anti-e? arimidex, liquidex, aromasin, femera, etc.

I'm not looking to cycle yet (still researching), but when I do I would probably use an anti-e. Are some better for different types of steroids? What has been your experience with them?

controlling estrogen - arimidex or femara.
wiping it out completely before a show - aromasin.

Why? Because I said so. *duh*

I use Nolva mostly.... But Arimi is better....

Also you need to realize that some anti-e's are better sutied for certain uses...... I.E. Clomid is better suited for PCT then it is for combating gyno during a cycle....

Also, is eliminating estrogen a bad thing? I'm pretty sure that it is normal for guys to have some estrogen (but not much) so does eliminating it say with aromasin cause problems? Is this related to cholesterol, not sure.

Yes. That is why I only have clients use aromasin (99% of the time) for the last week. It works well and it works FAST.

Skip, I read on one of these boards (can't remember) that one of the advantages to aromasin was that it was better for keeping cholesterol under control as opposed to say arimidex. You may actually have been the one to say that. But you say that you should really only use aromasin right before a show b/c it completely eliminates estrogen, which is definitely not ideal for the everyday anti-e use. So, you and many of the others recommend arimidex. Is it true that arimidex is hard on cholesterol and if so, how severe? I'm sure it depends on the person and dosage. But, I just want to have an idea of what to expect before I do my first cycle, which would probably just be test alone.

I don't think it was me, bro, who said that. The reason I say this is because I honestly cannot tell you the relationship between anti es and cholesterol. When I don't know something, I say so. I focus almost entirely on the "condition" aspect of gear, supps, nutrition, etc.. Anything I pick up that is health related, is indirect. I don't go looking for the health related aspects of the things I use.

I would love to hear about the relationship of anti es and cholsterol so if anyone has any info, go ahead and post it here. I just don't have the time to go looking for it.

ADD: I CAN say that I started using armidex year round about 1.5 years ago as I stay on gear year round. I don't HAVE to do this as I am not prone to gyno but prefer to keep the bloat down a bit. I have had very little change in my cholesterol levels over the last 1.5 years and in fact, it has come down this last year probably due to my offseason diet being relatively tight this year and my bodyweight not going off the charts. Personally, I have not seen any relationship between higher cholesterol levels with me but that is not to say that it is not possible pr likely in someone else.

I would have to agree with Skip on this point.

In a perfect world I wouldnt use any anti-e off season at all. I have had my gyno removed years ago and I actually like the strength that some extra fluid retention brings.

However, I work in a white collar professional field and wear shirt and tie etc so I like to keep the bloating down to a reasonable level. To do this I use a small amount of letrozole, around 1.25 mg EOD or E3D when on an off season cycle.

I will continue this anti-e approach during contest prep but I am going to try aromasin for the final prep this time. I was going to use it the last 2 weeks but might follow Skips lead here and just keep it to the last 7 days (what do others reckon??)

One thing I am curious about is the use of cytadren the last 7-14 days to harden up and dry out. I have some on hand but have never used it. I am wondering if it would be overkill to add this to the aromasin in the last week?

                              Any thoughts?
